Hanging motorcycle fuel bottle
Dino’s Tinker Shed, S2-Ep5. Hanging motorcycle fuel bottle
In this episode I will show you how to build a hanging motorcycle fuel bottle.
A hanging motorcycle fuel bottle is handy for testing your engine in the shop without having to reinstall your standard fuel tank. In my case I preformed some carburetor modifications and wanted to make sure the bike started and ran before I put on the stock tank.
I made this project from easy to find parts sourced from the dollar store and the local hardware store. Total cost was around $20 Canadian as compared to $80 if I bought a bottle of equal quality online.
As I state in the video this is not intended to store fuel in long term but only for use while testing an engine and then I drain the left-over fuel back into an approved storage container. In all cases be safe when handling fuel of any type and extinguish any potential ignition sources before you use the bottle.
As always, I hope you watch the entire video, but I have included time code chapters below if you want to skip to a certain spot.
Time code chapters:
00:00- Cold opening
01:00- Introduction
01:20- Overview
