I had a friend who stuffed a pea up her nose. She didn’t tell her parents and a month later she started getting bad headaches and pain in her face. The pea started to grow in her sinus cavity . They had to put her out to remove the pea as it had grown substantially and had made its way all through her sinus cavity. She was 7 at the time.

I swallowed a penny when I was a kid. It hurt pretty bad going down, but it did. I looked for it to come out the other end for a few weeks but I never found it. 😢 When you said a "penny" I thought of an Australian or British penny! About the size of a US quarter or larger! 😳 😲 Then I realised you meant a US one cent coin! Still alarming but not as much or as large as a British or an Australian penny! Make sure you crush such things before they take control of their food or toys. I was driving into a fully loaded traffic circle when my daughter was around 7 years old and she announced she had a Barbie ring (tiny ring from a Barbie doll)in her nostril. Panic ensued in my part as I envisioned surgeries to retrieve it if it were fully inhaled. Luckily our hospital was close by so I skipped work and entered the ER with daughter! After a ‘wait’ (you can relate obviously) it was also successfully removed and I went home completely exhausted from the fear of unknown consequences prior to removal. My daughter is now in her mid thirties with little ones of her own-I remind her on occasion to be careful what she allows them to handle despite the fact she was seven when we experienced that incident. Ever watchful 24-7!

Its not just twins either. I speak as a mother of Irish twins ( 10 months apart) the second we brought our newborn home they became inseparable. Our son would even climb out of his cot and into his baby sisters to sleep. When they started going to school at 3 (uk) we tried putting one into mornings and one into afternoons. They both cried so much the teachers asked to put them in the same class instead. It wasn't until they were 11 that they would even go into separate bedrooms. They are 15 now and are only now starting to pull away from eachother. Their 25 yr old sister now also has the same age gap between her children but her boys don't actually like eachother 😂
