I may get older but this song remains evergreen. Takes me back to those great days of the 80’s when I was “rocking” away as a teen with no cares in the world. Great memories!!

I remember when my little boy Joshua was about 3 months old, i played this and he stared at me as i was singing to him, he bounced in his bouncer and waved his arms around smiled and cooed, this became my song to my son. My baby boy died of SIDS 2 weeks later. On the day of his funeral i sat in my mothers room she held my hand and she told me he was always with me. I turned the radio on and this song came on. I cried and have cried every time i hear it. Now my daughter who never met her brother but knows of him calls me to tell me "Mum Joshua's song is on, he is saying hello and he loves you" We will always be together in Electric dreams Joshua 16/5/84 to 4/09/84

I think what makes this song for me is not the main vocals, although they are stunning, but the backing vocals that say "Love never ends" just adds such a nice, happy, uplifting touch to the song and makes such a huge difference in my opinion. The sounds of the 80s were so unique.

I watched this for the first time 30 years ago with my best friend and secret love in high school.. It was the night before I left for boot camp and we spent it in each others arms watching this movie. Because of that I have always had fond memories of that night and this song. I have to say, its not quite as good as I remembered, but it was sweet and innocent, like I was at that time... and since I haven't seen or talked to her in over 20 years, the lyrics hit home a bit, silly as it may be. I made a choice that night that went against the grain and I haven't regretted it since, even though I am limited to closing my eyes to remember what we had.

I was born in 1993 and now I'm nearly 26 years old. I think that the 80s from all the films and music that I've watched and listened to was a far better time to be alive than the life we live today l. Everything is so good the films were good the music was a 1000X better than todays music which is shit compared to the brilliant music of the 80's. Modern music can never ever reach the potential music from the 80's did. 80's music absolutely fantastic. Modern music can't even compete with it let alone sound as good. RIP REAL MUSIC ENDED IN THE 80'S AND NINTES. MUSIC NOW IS JUST A SHADOW OF ITS FORMER SELF. ALWAYS IN THE BACKGROUND FORGOTTEN AS 80'S MUSIC IS ALWAYS IN THE LIGHT ALWAYS REMEMBERD AS THE SUPERIOR MUSIC EVEN AFTER ALL THIS TIME.

I was born in 2000 i always like old songs eversince when i was a kid. I keep a playlist here on yt which includes this and i enjoy hearing it. But for some reason while hearing this again now i suddenly become emotional. I don't have a particular memory of this song for me to cry. But while listening to it earlier, something flashes in my mind. I saw two people saying promises with each other holding on to it no matter what the future holds for them. It left me a heavy feeling in my heart.

I grew up in the 80s and used to think that music was so fun, magical and amazing then, I thought if music is so magical now, can't imagine how much more amazing it will be in the future .. little did I know that, then, the 80s, would be music's last hurray for a very very long droughful period of time .. .. so, I revisit those 80s music and just think its ok .. for me, at least I lived through it - we'll always be together in the Electric Dreams .. aww.. the 80s ..

uuduu7 Man, I wish I grew up in the 80's. It seemed like such a magical time to be a kid. But music nowadays...dear God, it ain't music anymore. It's just the same repetitive beats over and over again with lyrics like "Smoke weed everyday." What the fuck is that?
