In some ways, I wish TCS continued despite Hana's passing as a way to pay tribute to her, but it was her creation and I guess it in some ways, they needed to leave the memories alone. I noticed Stardom first because of Hana and even though I didn't watch shows if at all, I saw her highlights online, and was also impressed with Konami and Kyona. It was just a cool astetic. Colourful like Stars, yet rebellious and loved some chaos like Odeo Tai. Her passing hit me, but I only can imagine the impact it had on the rest of the roster and especially her friends in TCS. The heart of the group was gone. She was gone because the world was cruel to her and in a time where the world started to feel isolated because of the pandemic, she couldn't reach out to someone. She didn't have someone there with her in a time of need to remind her that people loved her and that she wasn't a monster or unwanted. She is also born the same year as me, so it hurt seeing someone my age who I was becoming a fan of be gone from the world. Since then, Jungle Kyona left, a few of them are in different factions now, but the impact it had on their careers remain. The Hana Memorial shows seem to be almost a yearly thing and her family and friends have tried to turn this into a positive, advocating for mental health and protection against online harassment in a country which needs that voice. What might have been for Tokyo Cyber Squad if Hana is still with us or they stayed around? Who knows? But they left a lasting legacy on its performers and in the hearts of fans. Thank you TCS.
