Toledo Rails is a time capsule of railroading in The Glass City in the early 1990s. In this two hour program filmed by notable model railroader Doug Tagsold, we will see Amtrak and Conrail action around the Central Union Terminal, the Maumee River Bridge, Swan Creek, Oakdale, Vickers, and the Carrothers. CSX and Grand Trunk are the main focus of action on the Toledo Terminal with interesting motive power sprinkled in. The three freight railroads are seen together at Alexis Tower before jumping over to nearby Hallett Tower to check out the Ann Arbor. We will also visit Conrail’s Stanley Yard, CSX’s Walbridge Yard, Norfolk Southern’s Ironville Yard, and Grand Trunk’s Lang Yard. Over 30 years later, the colorful paint schemes have all but disappeared and many of these locations have radically changed or are no longer accessible to railfans. Revisit a time when Toledo was home to seven major railroads in Toledo Rails.

...Yes, this is the video where the channel name comes from. I owe a sincere thank you to Doug Tagsold for filming these scenes and selling the tapes, this helped me learn about railfan locations and want to eventually create my own videos someday.
