Thank god for NBA 2k 18 and 19. I was born in 2000 and I’ve been introduced to so many cool players because of those games. Tommy C is by far one of my favorite players now. It’s a shame how underrated this dude is and the lack of highlights there are. He was like the original Blake Griffin but better at stretching the floor.

Tom was a good sport too. Pisses me off when he held his hand out to the guy that won for a handshake and the guy snubbed him. Tom was a class act

Watched both the Jackson dunk, and the up and under in Boston, live on t v. When they happened. Also watched Chambers go for 56 (?) vs . Warriors in person in Oakland. Next night he went for 60 or 62 vs. his old Sonics team. Something like that, it was a long time ago. Lol. Great player.

I grew up in Queens and went to the same junior high as Mark Jackson, but "The Dunk" was just awe-inspiring. Will never forget the night when I saw it.

Your father was the reason as a little kid my mother started letting me stay up late to watch the second game of the double-header’s on Tuesday and Friday night’s on TBS/TNT..even my mother understood how it didn’t matter either Seattle or Phoenix it was must-see TV..blowing that lead in game 6 of the 93 finals broke my heart they deserved a championship

The left handed jam on Hakeem was a special one I thought at the time because I knew Tom was getting near the end of the NBA road despite the stops in Charlotte, Maccabi Tel Aviv, and Philly. I think it was a surprised Jack Givens on the call that night who thought Tom didn’t have the hops anymore-but we knew better.

While not receiving anywhere near the attention as KJ’s strikingly similar dunk on Olajuwon in the ‘94 playoffs, this one is indeed special and it is justifiably the last outstanding dunk Tom made in the NBA. There are several other outstanding dunks that I either witnessed as a fan attending games, saw live on TV, or saw in game highlights that are currently not accessible on video. One dunk in particular was during a Sonics @ Lakers game back in 1984 when Tom threw down a huge two-hand reverse dunk on a Laker defender who went up to block it (Mike McGee or Michael Cooper?) and the defender was sent right back down to the floor on his back with his legs going nearly backwards over his head a-la Wade on Varejao. This one really strains my memory for more details and it’s sadly lost to history.

TC24 Very pleased to hear that there will be more Tom Chambers output to come in 2019. Keep ‘em comin’! You’re doing a fine job compiling the lesser seen highlights. I was deprived as a youngster trying to keep up with Tom’s exploits because of living on the East Coast. These videos allow me to catch up on what I missed as a youth. Good stuff!

In his legendary dunk, I think seeing the boost he gets, if he doesn't dunk, he will break himself on the floor... Totally insane.

It's a long time ago now but people today think of 80s NBA and they remember the Celtics, Lakers, and Jordan. What is forgotten is just how good Seattle was with Dale Ellis, X, TC, Nate McMillan and a few others. They were very close to a championship. It fell apart. Could a woulda shoulda.

Hall of Fame vote should be made by players, not some super secret committee. Players know how good Tom was. The committee plays favorites and tend to over-value fan popularity and rings.
