I'm not sure what others don't like about it, but for me- get rid of Anne Hathaway...and the Selina Kyle character. 1. It's a forced romance arc. Totally unnecessary. 2. The character is ridiculous. She's a gymnast, and expert in martial arts/firearms, safe cracking,, espionage, burglary, motorcycles..you name it. Basically a 110 lb female batman? Come on. 3. Personally, I just can't stand Anne Hathaway. Otherwise it's fine.

Heh, Christian Bale will be the first to agree with a "no capes" costume policy. He has mentioned in multiple interviews how easy it is to step on the cape and trip, or how a gust of wind would blow the cape into his face. Bale joked about how people who design superhero costumes with capes "clearly have never been in a real life fight" 🤣 Also amusing is his advice to both Ben Affleck and Robert Pattison: make sure your Batsuit is not too constrictive that you'd need help to go pee 😆 Clearly he was speaking from experience!

Thanks for the Dark Knight trilogy reactions. It was fun revisiting these movies with you. Sorry the second movie got blocked. I have similar problems on my channel with content getting blocked. Hopefully it'll be ok for you going forward. I recommend watching Batman The Animated Series from the early 90s. They also made a Batman animated movie called Batman Mask of the Phantasm which is favorite of mine. Comedies I recommend are Clue The Movie, The Three Amigos, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, While You Were Sleeping, The Princess Bride, Serial Mom, Elvira Mistress of the Dark. I enjoy your channels. I hope things for well for you in the future. Take care, Aria.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Robin) got his big break on the comedy (laced with social commentary) show "Third Rock from the Sun" as an alien in human form sent to Earth with a "family" to observe human culture, which is worth a watch. He is also in a really great heist drama called "The Lookout."

Well I haven't read _The Killing Joke,_ but I've seen the _movie_ based on it. It was especially interesting, I thought, the way it worked out as, basically, _two_ movies; the first one revolving around Batgirl, and the second around Batman. By and large, Aria, I would say just about _anything_ based on Batman is a rewarding viewing experience, except those few instances in history when they've tried to make him family friendly. The Batman does not do "family friendly." He lives in a dark, gritty, serious world, so any version of him that _understands_ that _demonstrates_ that understanding by keeping the story dark and _gritty._ That rules out the TV show from the '60's as well as the movie from '97. Otherwise, though, I've never seen any movie or read any comic revolving around Batman that disappointed me. Consider him highly recommended.

Fun Fact:Tom Hardy`s Bane voice was based on a mix of the Irish Traveller boxer Gus Gorman who was popular in the UK in the `70s and `80s(When Batman comics were starting to become popular again after the association with the campy `60s show and film had put a stigma on the title for a while) and Sean Connery in "The Avengers"(The 2001 film adaptation of the British TV Show from the `60s,not the MARVEL Comic of the same name also from the `60s or the multiple animated series,films and video games based on it.) The latter was in response to complaints that his voice in the original IMAX leaked version of the first scene was incomprehensible so Nolan,the sound editors and Hardy redubbed it to make the voice clearer but still distinctive.

I think I enjoyed your reaction to this more than I enjoyed the actual movie. For the most part it's just not as good as previous two films in my opinion. You don't necessarily have to watch every sequel in a franchise if you don't want to. I've only seen the first Shrek film and have never had any desire to watch the sequels. But yes, Memento is a great standalone film. If you haven't already seen it, I highly recommend the 1955 classic The Night of the Hunter. It's a unique hybrid of film noir and Southern gothic.

I never understood how those 'sideways-rotating' wheels worked on the bat cycle...🤔
@Fyrecide
Жыл бұрын
They're really wide and have a rounded width, so when rotated sideways, they roll kind of like a donut. The guns either side of the front tire tuck under/inside the raidus (just barely), and the wheels operate on a differential axel (e.g. is has two points of rotation at separate joints).

I may have enjoyed this movie more if the sound mix wasn't so bad. For instance, over half the time Bane speaks through his mask, I can barely catch what he is saying. It's like Nolan took the on-set production sound of Tom Hardy and used that instead of carefully processed, in-studio ADR looping.
