He is good at what he does. Coaches getting on players is part of coaching. His own school did not care. That is part of coaching and getting chewed out for messing up. I could care less if he yelled a little at his players.

this is the cultural divide we have. a good chunk of the country agrees with SVP, accepts that life involves competition and learning how to work and compete is a good thing. Another chunk thinks competition is bad, the rules always favor someone and they're trying to restructure society to eliminate competition and winners and losers i.e. inequity.

@Shakur. That is far from being accurate. This is another case when being technical loses fundamentals. What we see over again is coaches setting standards that they don't follow and fans support them. No one is trying to eliminate competition. I think most people are just saying be fair. If that student would have taken Izzo ball his fist and charging him as an act of aggression and hit him, his college day would be over.

He didn't go far at all. Bobby Knight victimized his athletes. Izzo yelled at a player who even communicated back to his coach with the support of his teammates. The athletes directly affected by this don't even feel like victims of abuse. They defended Izzo

Senior were calming him down because they are also leaders of these team on the court and communicate with Izzo especially after years of direct interaction with Izzo and notice that Izzo should calm down. Like I said before the athletes directed affected by this don't even feel like victims. Comparing this to Knight is uncessary because it's not even remotely the same. This one event doesn't even measure to the countless acts of anger and problems Knight showed. Knight through a damn chair in the direction of an athlete and has consistently verbally abused his players hence victimizing them. Izzo yelled to a player who was supported by his teammates for a timeout
