This is very nice! There is a version where Mark sings this song as a tribute to Roger Scott I believe

There are so many amazing guitar players how can there be just the greatest guitar player. It's subjective obviously.

Great reaction Tre. Appreciate all you do, and glad you're discovering the class guitar work and song writing of Mark Knopfler.

I had only heard the Notting Hillbillies version before this. Great to see that Tom’s voice is still strong there and I’m totally with you on that, Tre, it just takes one note from Mark to open the gates. His solos are consistently a true joy to listen to...

I loved it when Tom said to Mark at the start "Nice to see you" with Mark replied "We'll soon put that right"... Love his humour. Ahh the good old days.

As they used to say back in the 60s- right on, brother. Ever notice the reigning 5 guitar gods are all from England? Jeff Beck, Mark Knopfler, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton and David Gilmour (the RIP gods being: Andres Segovia, Django Reinhart, Jeff Healey, Stevie Ray Vaughan... and my personal favourite: James Marshall Hendrix (Jimi)). Nice pick, Tre- and perfect commentary.

I think England can claim Jimi as he loved London and all that was happening here, here he found fame

@@seanriley199 Yeah, true. Best gig he could get stateside was guitarist for King Curtis Band (I have the record still) and you could barely hear Jimi in the mix.

This is a Charlie Rich song. He recorded it a few times but I like the solo version he did, just voice and piano. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to link here but if you Google "Feel Like Going Home demo" it comes up. The late career re-recording with full gospel choir seems like a good idea but I don't like the production & his voice isn't what it was twenty years earlier.

Tre, like you say, as soon as Mark touches the guitar you know it's him, and you know it's going to be brilliant. Both if the solos he plays here are great, so much feel and emotion from his playing. For another great Mark duet, watch him with Eric Clapton: kzitem.info/news/bejne/26NnqHZ9bn6cq3Y

Americans invented the blues, Brits seem to have perfected it?!
