When I saw him shoot he talked about health issues he had with his lungs. He seemed fine then. At that time Tom no longer worked for Beneli. He was with Federal, I think. He said since he left Beneli he had more time to go fishing with his grandson. Tom told many intersting stories before he fired a shot. What a great show he put on.

I watched Tom Knapp ALL the time on the outdoor channel before that channel was removed from cable. If it wasnt for watching him and listening to him I wouldnt have pushed myself to become a better than average shot EVERY TIME I shouldered my shotgun. Never mattered if I was hunting or shooting clays, always strived to be a better shot. Rest In Peace Tom, you will always be missed but NEVER forgotten. Every time my shotgun is shouldered, It will be in your memory.

Tom treated my son like a young man and we talked about the intricate mechanics of the M2 for about half an hour. A week later I bought one. I can guarantee that would not have happened without Mr. Knapp.

There are several folksy and entertaining ambassadors for the shooting sports, from Bob Munden through Jerry Miculek, and KZitem stars like Hickok45, but nobody else had Tom Knapp's combination of skill, flair and classic old school showman's voice that drew audiences on TV and in person. Even folks who didn't care much about shooting sports found themselves watching Tom's TV shows and enjoying them.

It’s Father’s Day and we had my fathers shotgun out so I showed everybody the great shooting of Tom Knapp. One of my brothers mentioned that Tom had passed away. I had no idea but for a good bit of time I felt complete sadness. He was a legend and a heck of a nice guy. God bless him and his family.

I saw Tom shoot. What a great showman he was. He really was that good of a shot. He was a nice guy too. He enjoyed meeting the common guy like you and me. I took a photo of him with my bird dog. Tom has a big smile on his face. I have an autographed clay pigeon he signed for me. RIP Tom.

He didn't really "retire" from Benelli. Story I heard was he got sick with a pretty serious lung condition and they dropped him (after working for them for 20 years). He got better and was shooting for CZ before he passed.

English speaking people kan not pronounce the name "Knapp", they say "Napp". The same thing with the word "Knife / Kniv". Haha. How would an English-speaking person pronounce the Scandinavian profane word of copulating: "Knulla" / Knulle ? it would be pronounced as "Nulla", haha, extremely very funny, and my friends in Denmark an Noway laugs with me in Sweden.
