what we don't see is the unbelievable frequency of his strokes. i sat at the outlet in Duisburg several times and he paddled straight towards me. He is an exceptional athlete

Very interesting because of the bent arms. The theorie is to do the powerface with straight bit broken arms.Maybe because it is turning and not pulling? You see a very good turning at the hips. In strength training strongest with straight arm for row but for a cable incline abdominal turn stronger with bent arms.

I would consider it has something to do with the extremely long paddle blades and his relatively more narrow hand width - he is using a Lettmann Warp.

His technique is very relaxed though very efficient. It is ok to perform the stroke with broken arms, an arm should only be almost straight when doing the catch. I think it is really one of the finest technique

In a video what is the most important factor? SOUND! Research shows that even the best video quality, with 'bad' sound means that it will not be watched completely. Bad sound is not just wind noise, low volume, etc... This video is a perfect example of unnecessary music-noise. This kind of noise that appear as music is hated by the majority of viewer.
