Tomato Powder is super easy to make, and has a lot of uses. In today's video we'll go over how we make it, and talk about a few of the ways we use it to enhance our meals. We stared by placing all the leftover skins, seeds, and scraps, from our recent harvest, into our Dehydrator. We set the temp to around 115-120°F and let it run overnight (about 12 hours). If you don't have a dehydrator, you can also dry in your oven - set on lowest setting.
Collect up all your dried tomato bits, and place them into a highspeed blender or food processor. Pulse and blend to your desired consistency - jar it up and enjoy! ♥ The end product can be used to "thicken" various tomato recipes without altering the taste, and we also use it in rice dishes like jambalaya, and quite a few different pasta dishes to add both color and flavor.
