This was my comfort music in high school, I was bullied and I would go to corner outside during recess, take a book and read it listening to this from headphones... I also played legend game at home all the time and sometimes just wondered through Croft Manor... Even still when I'm scared, I would tell myself "Be like Lara Croft" because she is so brave! I know she is not real but she gave me comfort, she seemed like she didn't have too many friends.

+johncstark79 Oh ho ho, I could go much farther than that! Imagine yourself hiking high in the mountains in the middle of wintertime. There's a heavy blizzard, and just a few mountains before you is a giant Christmas-themed mansion with only one Jacuzzi in its very center. You first have to make your way across the mountains to that mansion, solve a ton of Tomb Raider-like puzzles in various rooms, and fight a giant Santa Claus yeti before you can jump in the hot pool. But the pool turns out to be poisoned, and you have to search the mansion for a suit that will allow you to dive into the pool. Upon finding the suit and diving into the pool, you discover it leads to an underground network of water tunnels filled with keys leading to other, previously locked tunnels. When you finally find the source of the poisoning (a leaky pipe), you find that it was intentional. Someone poisoned the Jacuzzi you had spent so much time journeying towards. They even sent that yeti to stop you. Now you must find them. And punish them for messing with your Jacuzzi.

I have associated this track with breaking up with my very first girlfriend ever. When you hear this soundtrack you are free to explore the mansion as much as you want and find secrets. However, the mansion is limited. After enough time you will realize there's nothing left to do and discover. And then it hits you - it's the only TR:L level that requires you to exit it through menu. You have to end it by yourself, otherwise it will go on forever, and this music, however soothing and relaxing it is will just loop forever. Nothing new will happen and it will keep not happening unless you just end it. My first gf loved Tomb Raider too and reminded me of when I was playing it way earlier in my childhood. I have replayed TR:L and done 100% on all possible things (something that was super challenging for me as a kid was suddenly barely hard as an adult). Soon after I have done this we have split up - we simply had nothing left to do in the relationship because our feelings for each other have burned out. I was mad about it but soon realized it had to end because otherwise it would be just endlessly looping without any progress. It was hard to let go, just as it was hard for me to exit the mansion for the first time as a kid. I always get a bit emotional when I hear it. But it's good to have two of my favorite memories in life combined together. 😁

I remember playing this on GameCube when school end nostalgia!!!!! 😥 I miss these times tomb raider is so bad I had the reboots and all them rise and shadow.....not that good call of duty instead of tomb raider anniversary was the last best remake!!!!!!! I'd get a PS3 again just to play legend underworld and anniversary again,!!!!! Anyone who grew up on these you know what I mean real gamers let's all stick together!!!!! Fatal frame four for oled switch the best on there and TECMO knows what they're doing so happy to have that one finally I guess my collections not complete I need anniversary again and legend to complete my rEAL tomb raider collection and two for PS1 this is the real games and ost stuff,!!!!!!!!! Thank God TECMO knows how to bring that back done right even if I just bought re4 remake!!!!!! After seeing videos it won't be the same come one Capcom take a q from TECMO and square enix and core!!!!!!

+Daniel Draxler I'm having a similar early mid-life crisis myself! I'm infuriated that the PSone classics aren't available on the PS4 which I have - so I hope to beg borrow or steal someone's PS3 so I can get them as they are available for download on that. Wish I'd kept my playstation one and the games now!

It brings me back so many good memories, a time that i will never forget, i used to play this with my aunt, uncle and brother when i was literally 6 years old. I miss the good old times... time that will never come back, now it's just sadness and depression. This theme hits the deepest spot of my heart everytime.

I can hear the banter, the wittiness, the sound of her grapple, imagine in absorbing detail Japan through to Bolivia, Peru, Kazakhstan, Nepal and Ghana, the mechanism, the choppers, the voice of Zip and Alister - ah those lads. The way she spoke stuck with me and I've made her accent my own. Lara croft in legends, Amanda, the plane crash, the relics. Good lord, this is where it all begun, the origins that unravelled into my love for video games and dreamy ambient music. It's been over 10 years now and memory is still as distinct. That's when you know something's a true gem.
