Tommy Shelby is a master of body language. General Hannibal was a master of strategy. In this video we will explore their application of Law 6: Court Attention At All Cost. But be very careful if you plan on using this law. It has a dark reversal which we will cover in the video.
Tommy from Peaky Blinders, being a master of his ego, controls what he presents to the world. Since he needs to sell the message that the Changretta’s killed his brother, he courts attention at all costs and creates a Compelling Spectacle (which is Law 37). Word will spread like wildfire about him. Just as it will when you stand out in the crowd.
If you apply this law, hopefully in its positive counterforce, you’ll be an anamoly in people’s mundane lives. As you saw, Tommy deliberately made himself look weak, vulnerable and not in charge to his family, and the entire crowd.
Here is a lesson I want to drive home. Most people watching want to know how to appear powerful and learn the body language of leaders. But to become a true leader you have to know what being a follower is like. But why is this?
Ethical variant of this law:
Attract the right kind of attention by providing value in any situation.
