@@vdotme Unfortunately there is no written word for the song. It was made by a Tongan soldier in WWII. A man named Captain Heneli (Henry) Taliai who sacrificed himself to take out a small Japanese base in the Solomon Islands buying time for American troops to arrive for reinforcements. He knew it would be his last time seeing his men so he sang his death song and his soldiers caught on and sang along with him as the lyrics are repetitive. A constant reminder to his men to NEVER fear, but to live and die by Tonga's values. To walk in the light of God both in life and in death. Damn proud of my Heritage. Tongan: Tau fakataha he feohi fiefia A eva, a eva, i he maama. Tau feofa aki koe Otua tene ha'u. A eva, a eva, i he maama. A eva i he maama!!! A eva i he maama!!! A eva i he maama!!! Eva i he maama oe Otua!!! English: We meet as one together on this joyous occasion to walk, to walk in the light let us love as one for the Lord is soon approaching to march, to march in the light Onward. walking, in the light!!! Onward. walking, in the light!!! Onward. walking, in the light!!! Marching in the light of God!!!
