Great let me know how they turn out. Make sure you do at least three forge welding heats though and forgeweld the boos too.

Welcome. Ah good old Roy :) Agree otherwise they would eventually wear out at the point between the boss and reins.

This is exactly how I made my first pair of tongs (also born of a failure trying to weld on reins) a note on blending in that scarf toe: use the heel of your hammer or a straight/cross pein and hit that area first on your second welding heat. It will become barley noticeable 👍
