Music video by Tonic performing Soldier's Daughter. (C) 1996 Universal Records, a Division of UMG Recordings, Inc. #Tonic #SoldiersDaughter #LemonParade
Way back when Lemon Parade was big, I rescued a wee beagle from a breeding farm. She was full of cancer and only had a few months of freedom and life. She **loved** this song so much and would dance every time I played it. This always makes me sad but happy too. This song gave her such joy. Thank you.

One of the most underrated bands of all time. I have been listening to them for over 15 years. No matter how specific their lyrics get, they leave room for me to interpret them for myself and enjoy them as if they were written for me.

Their music has really held up over all these years. I was deployed several times to Afghanistan and most of us had our own soundtracks to get you through the long nights away from our loved ones. but no one ever really talked about it it was just hard enough worrying about what tomorrow was going to bring. But hey that’s how you get through the SUCK!!

I have lived in 4 decades of the very best music EVER written and performed (60's 70's 80's and 90's),...but! this band transcends all time...cherish the gift of hearing...it allows you to have the joy of hearing your son/daughter's first laugh/giggle...your wife telling you that she loves you and "welcome home" from a GODLESS country you've been sent to for WAAAAY to many months where the people hate you for the only reason but loving another named god, but it's been ALL worth it.........keep dancing, drinking, and loving EVERY DAY for that is the true gift of the god of your choice. With all the artists that have died it is god who has the best concert in the kingdom of heaven tonight.

This version leaves out a line, and a good one. The last lines are: So over the hills he'd climb Just to see her there in time Just to watch the sun shine through her dress The sweet soldier's daughter The sweet soldier's daughter "Just to see her there in time" is omitted from this video, not sure why. Tonic is awesome by the way.

I'm ok with ads - we're watching this stuff for free. The servers and bandwidth have to be paid for somehow. Dealing with annoying ads is worth it for me. The video ads are shorter than MTV commercials were, and the pop-ups at the bottom can be closed, unlike the ads that would sometimes (and still do) pop up on TV for other shows. It's life.
