Very impressive work. I remember these, Tonka's answer to "Mad Max/The Road Warrior" If I remember right a figure that looked like Lord Humgous came with some of the trucks. Fantastic! I have one of these in a box in the garage, that is only missing the guns and one of the treads. Amazing to see your resto on one that was that far gone. excellent work! the most impressive part has to be the writings, wow! building the plastic cabin shows great dedication. this piece must be quite rare, and I had totally forgotten about it. honestly, I miss Tonkas, they re a part of America s history. they should have included figures waaay before this era. I was surprised that you found the guns and figure. it s funny how many toys act as prototypes of concepts. a half track dump truck for instance, quite cool! if I get my money, I ll be on the look out for a 50s piece for sure. they still look awesome as classic deco. as other comments, I agree that looking at you work is relaxing and satisfying. if you get bored, maybe picking a common piece could be funny converted as a mad Max 100% your artistic flair creation. keeping the rust and holes, adding spikes and chains. you have my total confidence, lol. good work!

If you will allow me to make an observation, not a criticism. A WW2 Gun Truck would have been completely Olive Drab unless it was used in the African Campaigns, then would been tan and brown camouflage. The olive drab vehicle would have had a white 5 point star on the hood and doors with white registration on both sides of the hood. Gun truck crews is Vietnam would have had more leeway as to what color and marking they were allowed.

Pretty sure he just redid it how the original toy was, which wasn't meant to be a replica? Its more like a zombie apocalypse vehicle than a practical wartime vehicle. Why mount guns on the dump of a dump truck, especially when dump walls arent armored?

I took a look around to see what the trucks look like in their best condition. The level of detail you have there is unbelievable, even the painting on the paint, which I actually find ugly myself, i.e. the white and black color, but it belongs to the model, really good, just missing the right figures. Which series was that actually?

👍👍Thank you so much for the compliment and comment!!! The gun and figure come from other toys, they can be found on eBay but they are expensive, It may be the only regret for the project.
