I can remember making pancakes with my father on a Saturday morning when we were kids and cranking the radio up when this came on so we could all sing to it. I don’t remember what my father told me the song was about, but I had a good laugh when I was old enough to realize what a burlesque show was.

I was a huge fan of his show. I would watch it every week. The one thing that would get me so mad was that my little brother was a fan of the TV show the Six Million Dollar Man. Both shows came on at the same time, different channels. We only had one color TV. My spoiled brat of a brother always got the color TV and I had to watch in my parents bedroom. They had a huge black and white TV in there. I was so mad because I never was able to see what color gowns the girls were wearing. Today that spoiled little brother is a 6 foot 6 retired police sergeant. How times change. I also still have my three Tony Orlando and Dawn record albums that I got for my tenth birthday. And they still play. Thank you for listening.
