Romo, in my opinion, was a fantastic quarterback - if you don't remember just how unreliable his O-line was, or how often the Cowboys Defense let the team down.... it was... bad. You can tell he was a great QB by just how fast he can read these plays. especially the good ones that make break out yardage. He had the talent, just unfortunately - not the team. But you have to respect his commitment to his team, and the Franchise. He decided to retire rather than get traded. Honestly, was heart broken at the news, but now I can see it was the best move for him (and all the fans) ever. Probably one of the best color commentators since John Madden. I think they work with different companies, but I'd love to see Tony Romo and Al Michaels call a super bowl one time before Al retires.

He's just telling us what he would do if he were QB in the same situation. Knowing where the defense is weak is an NFL QB job requirement (survival skill?) It's a little surprising that there aren't more ex-QBs who get hired as DCs. Of course, after dumping truckloads of money at their QB's feet, teams probably couldn't afford to hire one as a DC.

If it was scripted, you think they would tell an announcer what would happen so he can tell every sports fan what would happen to make it seem scripted? When something is scripted and no one knows, that means they don't want anyone to know that it is and you won't find out unless someone says something. Tony Romo would be fired right away if he said anything about it being scripted or made it seem like if it was, he's a quarterback, if you go back most past quarterbacks acted like this unless they just want to be a funny commentator instead of a serious one. I'm either wrong or it's not scripted, ask the commissioner not me.
