Has Tony had a brain transplant, he’s done a 360 based on his previous conversations with Adnan Rashid and now suddenly has a very strong grasp of Palestinian History. Back peddling and damage control in affect.

Tony here. No I don't have a strong grasp of Palestinian History. I only have a layman's grasp and have probably missed or misinterpretyed many things. You only have to watch Finklestein's 5 hour debate on Lex Fridman to realise how complex and contentious that history is. So (like most people ) I'm a beginner on this topic. And I may well adjust my views as I learn more. But factual history and evaluation of those facts are two very different things. Getting accurate facts is hard enough but the really hard part is evaluating what they mean objectively and ethically (see: 'Hermaneutics' and 'Teleology') . Nonetheless we all HAVE to make those judgment calls in every aspect of our daily lives and Israel/Palestian is no exception. And IMO that daily challenge to is best approached by : A) Arguing from first principles (ie: with strong foundational axioms). B) Asking good foundational questions that test those axioms to the max. C) Rejecting inconstistent answers to those questions and... D) Trying to synthesise those inconsistencies into higher order axioms. E) Realising that all logic ultimately predicates on 'Faith' in a primal axiom (see 'Goedal's Incompleteness Theorum' and 'Hume's Fallacy of Induction'). F) Having faith that life is an implicitly meaningful and ethical challenge we all must face. G) Having faith that we're all equally burdoned by that challenge and hence we are all fundamentally equal regardless of race, creed, color, etc... (ie: That all human souls have equal spiritual potential in the eyes of god). Any feedback on those thoughts appreciated.

Property is passed down so if anyone from the displaced family is alive then they should get their house back

Tony here. Understand your point. The offspring are obviously affected by the theft of their parents home. So it feels fair that they be compensated. But the question is then - 'why stop there?'. Because the offspring of the offspring are also effected... And the offspring of the offspring of the offspring are also effected... And the offspring of the offspring etc.... Ad infinitum. Hence Netenyahu and Shipiro both try to legitimise the state of israel with the claim 'To understand this conflict you have to go back 3000 years' (see their respective KZitem videos on the History of the Conflict). But that's just their unethical and unworkable attempt to camaflage modern Israel's bad bahaviour. So the question is where do you draw a functional (an ideally ethical) line we can all objectively agree on? I'm suggesting the living and the dead as a clear objective ethical delineation. You're suggesting we go back a generation as well. And I do appreciste your point. But I'm always hunting axioms. So please clarify - on what objective basis SHOULD we go back 1 generation but NOT go back 2, 3, or 4 generations (given that each generation has a causal impact on the next)?

Soon as he suggested a cooling off period (peace) and the other denied it by giving examples of things done during 'times of war' then proceeded to give reasons why they don't want a cooling off period. I knew which person has peace in his heart and mind and which one has war, death and terror. It's easy enough to talk when your children and wife, mother and Father or siblings aren't stuck there. If anyone had immediate family there who are dodging bombs left and right, they would opt for peace and a cooling off period. So they can breath, sleep, eat something and have water but someone miles away wants Hamas to keep being a nuisance. Israel is wrong for so many things but there should always be room in us for peace. The problem is the Palestinians didn't start this but they are the ones suffering they are the same as the common people in any country when there is war, they don't want it but are made to live with it. If you can't reconsider because your emotions of how you feel about Israel won't let you, then surely you can reconsider for the children without voice and the other many innocent civilians. War is but a tool to serve the elites. My point isn't whose right or wrong in the fight but rather for the debate question of whether a cooling off period would be best.

And just cuz they're a traumatized people doesn't give them license to traumatize others, they should get the Hague

Tony here. I agree - being traumatized doesn't justify bad actions. But it does give some context to how harshly we should judge those actions. Hence the difference between 1st degree murder, 2nd degree murder and manslaughter. We agree they're all wrong and punish them. But we (justifiably) punish manslaughter less harshly than murder because we recognize it's intent ('Niyyah') is less calculatedly malicious.

19:37 by his logic, if someone just comes into his old parents house, forcibly take it, and you werent there at that present time to stop it. You cant take it back, until some "moral" group comes in, retroactively investigate each war crime, calculate and validate each persons supposed belongings, write and submit a statute proposal that those belongings should go back to the parents, legislate that and execute it. By the time that happens 3 more wars has happened and passed, then what?

Only the ignorant & the heartless would ever believe genociders & colonizers ever want "peace" when every steps they took even to this day are escalation & terrors & destruction & annihilation. The world literally demanded ceasefire & IDF terrorists replied with thousands more of bombs being dropped into Gaza, while US deflected every path of peaceful resolution to support their zionist masters.
