True. Let me say first I’m a fan of both. I do think Drake can’t claim goat cause he’s had help on a few tracks but I’m not discrediting his pen at all. With Ken… I just wish he’d make more of these moments without it having to do with beef 🤷🏾♂️ Luv em both though 💯

@@brosie15 you couldn’t have said it better. Tbch I definitely have way more Drake songs in my music than Kdot songs. Drake has shown that he can show up to bat alone when he has to but KDot definitely lyrically one this one. @@Offu-cz9wl Perfectly stated. Kendrick raps for the love of hip hop and the art of lyricism. Drake does it to be the best, which has shown through his journey in hip hop and how diverse his catalogue is. They both are GREAT & this has been the BEST Hip hop battle of all time. I am all about the art of lyricism and to me, THIS is why Kendrick CLEARLY WON this battle and him as a pioneer for the culture, he is for the community and human empowerment and unity. He is a KING for what he then did with this battle. He brought REAL RIVALS TOGETHER on stage for a greater purpose in LIFE. THATS some real shit that I FULLY RESPECT AND APPRECIATE 👊🏿❤️🙌🏿👑

Nah, all of that has existed for a long time, but in the underground. Even legends like Mos Def, Kweli, and Common have been forgotten. Lupe Fiasco has released 2 of his best albums over the past 3 years but nobody listens. Aesop Rock has been churning out classics for over 20 years. Brother Ali has even impressed Sway with his immense skill in freestyling. Sa-Roc sounds like a female Kendrick at times. The mainstream doesn't like to listen to music they can't immediately digest lyrically or aren't hanging on to current trends. It is truly impressive that Kendrick and, to a lesser extent, J Cole have been able to break that barrier

People just listen to that bs without doing their research. They put all that negativity towards blacks. They classify some rap as gangster rap so you can be negative towards black.
