I've long been in between these 2 sets, but came to the conclusion that TI's fit my needs better. Thank you for the video.

@@tree-style haha, good one! I also like the ernie ball cobalt flats. Put them on a 70's reissue J bass. Milk and honey everywhere! :))

I don't know if that's a "sloppy" cover, but the editing is flawless! :)

it's a sloppy guy playing bass lol .. the 0760m was a bit heavy for my fretting hands at the time ... lighter gauge should work better ..

I enjoyed that. I swap between TI flats and Dunlop flats. I really need 2 precisions!

that's what I figured, and still very happy after years ... once in a while i put round wound back for a quick refresh/reset. fun thing about flats is that they can really last a long time ..

I like both, have you had any issues with la bellas giving sitar-like buzzing? Bought like 3 sets of the 760fl recently and all either had buzzing d or g. Basses are fine, no issues with other flats. Bummer cos i love the tone

my Labella flats are okay .. I had issue with their super-step years ago, and more than once, it's the E or B string that was dead right out of the package ... the store was able to do me an exchange .. talk to the store or even laBella .. they should help you out .. a good set will last you a long time

@@tree-style yea, i had a similar issue too. La bella are literally just ignoring my emails it's pretty annoying! Anyway, TIs it is for the time being at least

@@alfieharries oh no ... maybe there's thing with setup that can improve the buzzing? record some video and see if people on the internet can help .. TI with some foams near the bridge can get that thumpy sound .. I like them both ..

My ears liked the Thomastik more, but I think the La Bellas would sit in a mix better. I'd have to add more compression to the Thomastik where I might not need to add any compression to get the La Bellas to sit in the mix.

Agree! Labella is naturally thumpy and that’s what many ears are used to and it just work. TI is not as big/full in straight comparison but a lot more delicate and responsive to details, where I enjoy more. I ended up with both, life is good 😄😄

La Bella for me. But hard to tell in a live performance maybe.

bring a few basses for live performance . lol. live situation has more variables that're not in our control ... and it also depends on the set of the night to decide what's more suitable ..

@@tree-style i just read it. I think they both sound really good. At first i was with the ti flats. But i think im gonna have to go with the labellas. Very dark tone, very motown. I think that fits my setup more. Maple fretboard, dimarzio model p.

@@hadiffnazhan862 yeah .. Labella has very distinct sound that works very well and favourited by many player and listeners. My set of Labella is old, and it has the heaviest gauge which makes things difficult for my hands. you'll just need both . lol

Interesting. I had TIs for like 10 years, it was my first set of flats. Now I have Chromes flats and I prefer the stronger string tension, but I don’t know what to think about the sound. What is it that you didn’t like about the Chromes?

@@cyberprimate chromes is bright and 'plastic-y' to my ear ... it's some nasal upper-mid range that just bothers me ... to me labella represents thumpy and TI is delicate which pretty much cover all my flat needs ...
