Awesome Thank you! I was given on in packet by our supplier and had no idea what it was for. I assumed it had to do with something collecting excess water. And I Really need it. We high elevation and when it snows we get condensation like crazy when dips dip cold. (We live in mountains). I often had water 💦 in my nose. This will help so much. Great vid!!!

If you are using a 20 foot or 50 foot connector, then you MUST put this water bottle on the cannula end of that connector. If you don’t, the water gets on the interior walls of the connector and NOT in the air at the cannula

My Water is collecting sometimes between my cannula and the water trap replace between the two 25 foot cords. Sometimes it’s on one side towards a cannula other times it’s on the side between the water trap and the oxygen concentrator. My present 25 foot cord is connected directly to the cannula. Time 1:40?

I don't have miles of tubing just about 8ft. I have constant condensation and just recently found out about the water trap. Unfortunately it hasn't had the results I'd hoped for, and i added about a 3ft section of the green " long distance" tubing that I spliced so I could use the ends connectors to attach it directly to the humidifier bottle and the clear short cannula tubing with a connector piece. I was able to force the green tubing onto the trap ends with alot of determination and force. The trap sits on the tile floor behind my chair but so far I'm still getting a fair amount of water sliding up like beads into my nose. Driving me crazy!!! The trap, however, is dry!!! Help please!!!

We just tried this and within 2 hours we are still getting water in the lungs of the patient, 3.75 liters moisture Canister at lower level, and using 20ft line , so now what? Should we add another filter at machine? And at the patient cannula?

Hi! I know this video is old but so helpful. Someone told my mom that the trap should be level with her, so she drapes the tubing across the bed then it gets tangled in bed sheet and blanket. Is it ok for it to lay flat on the floor? We already are using a low “fill line” which seems to be helping a lot . Thanks!

Great comment! Is the water trap attached to the end of your nasal cannula or closer to the oxygen concentrator? It should be placed at the end of the 25ft where it connects to your nasal cannula for best effectiveness. Please let us know 😊

Will this work for just high humidty in your home? I do not use a bottle with water on my concentrator at all. My condo is extremely humid. Those super soft salter labs cannulas 16SOFT-7 When moisture builds up I literally have an oily substanace that comes out of the nose piece.. and i am sure not healthy to be taking inside my nose. It was running out of my nose and i can stil feel the oil slick. I can only use the harder cannulas as they have no oily substance at all. Will this collect room humidity or is this olny if you have a water bottle attached? Thank you

I use a water trap between the 25’ tubing and the 7’ cannula, and I still get water in my nose! I keep the tubing off the floor. The only issue is that the concentrator doesn’t have a secured loop to hold the humidifier bottle, so I keep it on the floor. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

make sure you don't fill the water up to the maximum fill line, also try water based nasal gel instead of humidifiers.

Sometimes it requires a tight connection, I would put it on there as tight as possible. If it still keeps happening maybe you have a warped tube end/cannula
