Same here man. I don't connect to any other band like I do with tool. They're the greatest band of all time in my opinion. Everything had yo align perfectly for them to form and then after forming they had to battle for artistic integrity. They're the epitome of rock and roll. They've introduced me to numerous ideas I would've never thought of. And their music just fills my soul. And omg live is just like you said a multi sensory experience. They take their craft very seriously and it shows. They're kinda the only old farts out here still rocking. I can't wait for the next album.

"Culling Voices" is a great song and I agree with others who have claimed that it is THE underrated song on F.I. I have loved that song since the first time I heard the album. As much as I like the studio version of "CV", this live version kicks it's ass!!! That song was made to be played and appreciated live. The intimate setting of getting them in a circle at the front of the stage and playing like they are at rehearsal or in the studio is such a power move for this band. I was there. They’ve been my favorite band since I was in middle school and I was always out of the country or deployed or whatever when they toured. I finally got to see them here for my 40th birthday. I cried when he played Sober. I cried like a fucking baby. It was such an emotional show for me and I loved every second of it. I hope they tour again so I can see them one more time before I die.

@@michaelmartin2997 Personally for me that honor goes to Pink Floyd.(I have to put Tool at #3 behind Floyd and Zeppelin) And Roger Waters will be out proving it this summer. I saw the Denver Tool show and it was, next to Floyd and Waters, the best show I have ever seen. Got lucky too, they fucked up our seats and replaced them with the row right in front of the FOH audio mix.

Back in 19 iirc (the year the blues won the cup) we had some guy behind us yelling “let’s go blues” after each song after the blues beat the sharks (the show was in stl and the keil center staff (think it’s enterprise now) announced the win because it was the conference game. I wanted to kill that guy and what’s worse we got on the same train so I got to hear it for another 45 mins tripping my balls off

Went to this show. Had been since the Lateralus tour for me in summer 2002. The sound on this recording was a lot better than it sounded in person--no fault of the band's. Terrible venue sonically. Will avoid the venue in the future, to be sure. With that said, the band was amazing. Loved the setlist of dropping the typical Aenema stuff (Stinkfist/46 & 2/Aenema) for more obscure/lesser played songs (Right in Two/Pushit/Hooker). Bummed on Sober over Opiate which they've been alternating, but The Pot/Pushit/Culling Voices made the show. Grateful, needing a show like this as we all do!

Nice to see em switch up the setlist a bit. Ive seen them 5 or 6 times the few years before Covid began and it seemed like it was always guaranteed to get Aenema, Jambi, Parabol/Parabola, Schism, Forty Six & 2, Lateralus, and Vicarious (trust me…I LOVE all these songs) but it was a pretty standard setlist for quite some time. I mean its TOOL, every song is amazing but its awesome to see other songs from the catalog return. Fingers crossed for Third Eye, Ticks n Leeches, Rosetta Stoned, Flood and 7empest to join the party on this tour sometime. Thanks for risking ejection to get this all on film. Die hard fans since Undertow appreciate it 🤘Can’t wait for Minneapolis 3/13!

Dedicated fan for close to 30 years and never had the opportunity to see them live before now in Oslo. Quite literally the soundtrack of my life and seeing them for the first time I lost all sense of time and order. I simply existed. It was so profound, it meant so much more than I ever can place into words. This recording helped me remember what I actually witnessed, taking me back to all those emotions filling every single inch of what I am. Can’t believe I’m saying this but thank you for disobedience.
