Curious.... seems they were playing right along with the recorded album tracks. @rebeccarose8942 What are you talking about? This sounds nothing like the album versions. It's clearly live! I was there, I saw and heard where they had mistakes or ad lib'd a riff here and there. They are just as GOOD live as they are on their albums, on that I will agree.
@tammykay1970

@@slightlyspiritualthat must be a troll. Why would anyone who's a real fan, enough to supposedly know each and every one of the songs they played, which were from different albums, note for note and beat for beat, just talk shit about them? As far as their claim, I also heard a few mistakes, and have no complaints about that, but it obviously wasn't tracks they were playing along to. They played a phenomenal live set! As far as their 80s selves...they weren't even a band then, so I wonder how this person knows how each of them were in that decade? It's mind boggling that some people have so much time on their hands, that they become one of the internet's most disliked species. If you're that bored, why not spread some joy, or at least just shut the hell up? There's also a saying that I love that goes like this - if you're not better than the person (artist, actor, musician, etc) you're talking about, shut your bitch ass up! Maynard, Danny, Adam and Justin played their asses off and gave everyone there, and now the interwebs, a fantastic show, at any age. 💯🤘🏻🔧🤘🏻

Not only was it amazing being in their home country for once, but I really took note of there stage body language this time. All of their looks, moves, eye contact and energy is not a random choice - its all been discussed prior! Especially the connection between Maynard and Justin ( they seem the closest of the 4 ) Its like a drama play...... Not only do they create art, but emotion in their simple movements between souls.

@@lenni-hazels Hmmm, well, actually for me Pneuma is the worst offender for being slow and plodding. There is that really good drum part but it's too low in the mix so I usually just hear the guitar which isn't doing anything interesting. 7empest is the exception in that it actually rocks for a moment, but then there's 15 mins of meandering.. so, I think you're being a bit generous, ha ha. There's a lot of rocking stuff on the early albums, and Vicarious is one of the best rockers for me, but increasingly those have been the exception. The first few shows of the tour were kinda rough and sounded off, but they're really back in force here. What a set

What happened at those show? I haven't listened to the whole show, but I was just listening to Aenema and it had some rough moments! I cringed when the guitar solo comes in a beat late at 1:48:07 and Adam is halfway through the solo before he finds his way back. Midway, you can see Adam realize something is off and then looks Danny, trying to sync up, just in time for Maynard to sing "Learn to Swim." I thought the horror was over, but then Adam plays guitar over Maynard's next lines (twice!) and even then I can't tell if Maynard knew the line "F&#k retro anything" or just mumbled something. It's sloppy way to end the show. I'm a huge fan of Tool and they're amazing musicians, but they're still human. Sometimes things go awry...
