The bristles on those are too stiff. Look for the Uxcell wheels. the bristles are much more flexible and shouldn't gouge the wood like that.

Exactly what i needed to know. To try to remove something (paint? Varnish? Stain?) l in the decorative edges of a glass-fronted bookcase.

They're not for wood.

@Julio's Evil Twin they are indeed for wood the ad says "It is suitable for wood carving wood furniture polishing." look em up eaby item 592821d367 they're the same material as the big industrial machines used to sand wood coving etc. The trick is not to put too much pressure on them (as I did in the video) by the time I'd done all the beading on a few doors I got the hang of it, they were brilliant for doing all the beading & newel posts on the kitchen units

@@glassbackdiy3949 yes, I've been using that same set to strip rust & paint from cast iron & steel. They never mentioned wood in the reviews, feedback, description etc.. Metals. And people who patina metal items. Meh. Anyway it does as it's advertised.

I would have liked a test on metal. To use on wood is a bit of a nonsense.

Read the comment from the chap further down who used them on metal, seems they work fine on metal too. It would be a bit of a nonsense to write off dozens of woodworking machines (coving/surface sanders) that use the same brushes because you only want to use them on metal, they can be used on multiple materials as the original advert said.
