Karl, thanks. I am not sure what helps and doesn't so I figure just to record what I do and let others hopefully discover some tidbit to help.

Ron, I really appreciate your videos. Genius with the editing of the texture ... I have been doing it the hard way and editing the texture itself and then saving it as a new texture... I guess I should RTFM every once in a while. ;) Your benches have been inspiring to watch being made. While they would take up more room than my small workshop would allow, they have given me great ideas on what to do to rebuild my barn into a workable space.

Ron, Great videos. I bought your plans and am waiting for my Festool track saw to arrive. The timing of this vid is perfect for me. Hope to meet you in person someday.

Yes, I have also found other uses as well. If I figured this out earlier, it would have saved me lots of time and frustration not to mention $$ on expensive router bits.

Ron - I enjoy watching all of your video's. Can you show or explain how you went about drilling all the holes in the jig so they were perfectly aligned? I make your version 2 workbench, but my holes are not perfect. Wish I would have seen this first. But I love the bench, solid as a house. You have inspired me, and turned me into a festool junkie. Hope you are getting a comission.

I laid out the holes on the plywood with pencil, 8' level (straight edge), and tape measure. Once they were marked, I drilled a 1/16 " hole at each point. Then I used a 15/16 " spade bit to drill the final holes. It was quick, accurate, and easy.

Hi, Ron. I finally got around to getting a track saw. I am in the process of making a version of the MFT top. Your tip for determining the size of hole for the jig set me to examine the selection of a 15/16-inch bit to drill the holes for use with your guide bushing. Wouldn't a 7/8-inch bit provide a resultant hole that is closer to 20mm in diameter or is the looser fit with the 15/16-inch bit not a problem in actual practice?

Great video and tutorial as always Ron. Using the x to create multiple copies was something I had heard of and now I understand how it works. Thanks again. Not sure if I missed it on the video, but what size bit and template guide are you using?

Joe, I used a ¼ " up cut spiral bit with matching template guide, but it doesn't really matter as long as the difference between the cutter and template is used to upsize the template holes.

Ron - Do you have a recommendation on how best to fabricate the pegs if one doesn't have access to a lathe?

If you watch Ron's video on assembling the Total Work Station, he shows you how to use your table saw to cut the dowels for indexing the template. It is just a quick blurb I think in the last video in the series. It is a pretty simple process. You will see a stop that holds the dowel in place. Be care when cutting, as always, it's not exactly what a table saw was designed for! Steve

Christian, I don't understand your question. If you are referring to the jig in this video, then that is all answered in the video. I don't use this jig any more since discovering the Parf Guide that i have now used for many years. This is the Parf guide tsoproducts.com/tools-equipment/ujk-parf-guide-system-mark-ii/?aff=3
