bliss1947 from Chino Valley, AZ. Love this pattern and video. In 1962 I bought a like new, but 10 year old OlsenNolte saddle for $400. It was fully tooled in the oak leaf and acorn pattern. My Dad used a Tandy pattern to make me a matching belt. I still have it, the belt...wish I still had that saddle! At 76 I am just starting to explore leather tooling and this pattern is the one I aspire to use. Thanks for all your great videos.

Endlessly fascinated by leather tooling and decided to take the plunge, buy a small kit, some leather and have a crack at it myself. Watching this tooling come alive is mesmerising. I especially love watching videos where people use the swivel knife and I'm keen to have a go at it soon. I'm in Australia.

My first western saddle was a very old Circle Y with oak leaf and acorn pattern. I learned to ride in that saddle on my first horse. Lots of fond memories there! I love the update to the pattern; it's a very clean, modern look, while still being traditional enough to recognize. Maybe if I get good enough, I'll adapt this pattern for a new western saddle. It's beautiful, well done.
