I can’t think of what these words are in Jordanian haha I will ask my father and will get back to you (I’m like 40 and still call dad for this stuff :))

Ok so here is the answer I got: Drill is referred to as “drill” (roll your r though” in Jordanian dialect. Proper Arabic word for it is “أداة حفر". No one refers to it that way though, we just say “drill”. Same with tape measure. Proper Arabic word for it is “شريط قياس" - again no one refers to it that way. In Jordanian dialect, it’s referred to as “Tib” تب. Hope this helps!!!

How to say "tool, tools"?
@OneDayataTimeArabic
3 жыл бұрын
You bet friend! This is tricky because it crosses between dialects. in MSA , a tool is أداة “a-daa”, and plural is أدوات “a-da-wat “. In Levantine, a tool is also like MSA أداة “a-daa “, but the plural in this dialect switches to عِدّة aka “3id-deh” Hope this helps!!!

Can you do series of car parts because we might need to maybe even put the tools to get the parts fixed in the series

Great idea! I’ll need to call my dad to get the right terms in Arabic haha (believe me I’m not young but ignorant in this area lol). Let me see what I can pull off on this topic! ❤️ thanks for the suggestion!
