Onion Skin channel is so underrated! I got hired and had to learn Harmony quick (from literally knowing nothing about them) and you helped me out a lot. THANK YOU!!!!

Im as beginner as it gets and I spent an EEmbarrassing amount of time trying to make something move in a perfect circle yesterday. Im proud to say I did it! Not proud that I didn't see this video and save myself hours beforehand lolol

Did you manually craft a round motion path or make a peg with the pivot in the centre of the rotation and spin?

Awesome video man. Trying to figure this out from the TB help files is a bit of a nightmare. Thank you!!

Thanks so much for all this, Colin! No one else really goes into the functions and editors in this same level of detail so it's massively helpful for an animator new to TB. 🥇

damn great video! i think the only video that explains all this stuff so clearly. Just a question when copying and pasting functions, how does the pivot point affect the final movement on the pegs?

Please do more on pegs and bones. Every time I try to animate with them, weird things start happening. Like I try to manipulate a peg layer and it all goes in unpredictable directions at weird varying speeds for some reason (sometimes even folding in on itself when I'm just trying to move it a few pixels to the right). I've been trying to work it out (I've noticed that the locked points on the motion path sometimes are on the other side of the screen and I have to constantly fight them to stay with the drawing, and that if they don't stay there the drawing does things that I don't want it to; and I think it has something to do with a personal confusion between what manipulates the pegs, what manipulates the drawings, and what manipulates the bones, but as you can see, I'm lost) but I'm still having a tough time. If you could make a video that explains what the difference is between animating with a drawing layer, a peg layer, and a bone, I would book a flight to Australia and give you a big wet kiss.

+Peter Dodds haha, of course! I don't suppose there's any examples of the problem you could email me in a working file or a video? That would really help in nailing this down. It's a problem a lot of people fall into but I'm having trouble recreating it. I'm holding you to that kiss btw!

Thanks bunch! I was struggling today quite for a while with these. Also anyone knows if there is any “Orient to Path” feature in motion path. I’ve found it in old toonboom documentation, but seems like it’s not anywhere in Toonboom anymore.
