Reminds me of the Scruggs tuner in Earl’s banjo. I play a little on the five string banjo, but I have always wished I could play the b-bender like Clarence on acoustic guitar. The first time I heard Clarence play Soldier’s Joy on the Byrds Untitled album, was as a kid in the 1970’s listening with my older brother on his record player. I always enjoyed it when Roger introduced the song Soldier’s Joy to the audience and then joked about trying to keep up with Clarence’s virtuosity. As a 14 year old kid and beginner banjo player, I was blown away.

I’m sorry for your loss of your brother, Toon, truly. This is a terrific video, showing the b-bender mechanism up close. [So cool to hear and see it!] Is Clarence’s b-bender Strat set up the same way, with the “movement piece” on top?
