Another big trope of 90s movies: The workaholic parent who misses their child's sporting event because of work, even after promising to show up. It may have started with "Hook", but it also popped up in "Jingle All the Way", "Jack Frost", and probably a few others.

Here's some trope that you missed: 1. Animal adventures/Talking animal adventures (Babe, Free Willy, Homeward Bound, the type of "perfect family movies" that the more religious parents usually shoved down kids' throats because they were trying to counteract against the culture of the day). 2. Odd-paired buddy movies (usually some alien or supernatural animal)

The 80's had LOTS of ninja movies like Revenge Of The Ninja, Enter The Ninja, Ninja 3 The Domination, American Ninja, 9 Deaths Of The Ninja, Ninja Squad, Golden Ninja Warrior, Ninja Condors, Pray For Death, Rage Of Honor, the Godfrey Ho films, ect. The 90's were just following the Ninja Turtles with movies like 3 Ninjas or Surf Ninjas.

I think that this list would be better titled as, "Movie Tropes the 90s MURDERED". Pretty much half of what you covered were already tropes in the 80s, but have rarely been seen after the 90s. #9 The Truth Comes Out - "Three Amigos" (1986), "Big" (1988), "Pretty in Pink" (1986), "Soul Man" (1986), "Tomboy" (1985), "Yentl" (1983), and many TV sitcoms. #8 Ninjas - "Enter the Ninja" series (1981), "American Ninja" series (1985), "The Last Dragon" (1985), "Ninja Academy" (1988), so many more... #6 A Monkey - "Any Which Way You Can" (1980), "Going Bananas" (1987), "Project X" (1987), "Monkey Shines", (1988), and countless TV commercials. #4 Computer Wizardry (you did acknowledge this) - "Weird Science" (1985), WarGames (1983), "Superman III" (1983), "Cloak & Dagger" (1984), "Tron" (1982) #1 Movie Trailer Announcer - come on... for real? Go on... look for yourself... try to pull out a movie trailer before the 90s that didn't have a booming trailer voice guy in it. I think it's safer to say that the 90s KILLED the movie trailer announcer, and everything else on this list. LOL!
