The US sure is home to some unnerving urban legends and folklore. Another one worth mentioning is Green Eyes from the Civil War battlefield of Chickamauga, Georgia. A ghastly ghoul of a beast that devours both the living and the dead, the carnage of the battle attracted it though it apparently is older than the battle. The mystery of its origins makes it more terrifying.

Fun fact in the uk during the great year of 1933 up near Scotland there was a slew of citings of the creatures that would later be dubbed the lock ness monster the month of the first ever sighting a movie with a very similar picture of a monster came out the movie would be King Kong It’s though most of the early sightings were considered as people seeing a normal animal and after watching King Kong thinking it was a monster ! There’s a fun fact for you .
Watched one years ago, so I don't remember properly the title -"The Barrens" if not mistaken.

There's also the Michigan wolfman. I'm not an American, but i have heard about the stories, the urban legends, all of it. There's also the Skinwalker, which is said to be a shaman of sort that practises black magic and do ungodly things. It's something the Navajo knows well, even if they don't want to talk about it. The Micigan Wolfman is a werewolf like creature, just like the beast of bray road. My native Sweden has a few urban legends of our own. The Swedish urban legends aren't as well known as the American ones. Few here in Sweden even talks about it. It's something we Swedes keeps hush hush about. It's seen as something you don't want to talk about here.

I enjoy watching your videos. That’s why I subscribed to your channel. Sometimes I learned some thing that I didn’t know from your videos other times I am entertained. But this one you did on the top 10 urban legends in the United States, is my favorite anything that has to be done with the paranormal supernatural, and even Cryptids are my favorite topics, as well as superheroes and TV and movies, of course Can I make a suggestion how about a countdown featuring creepy or heroic podcasts or audiobooks?

Compared to other creatures, Mothman is the most tame, ya it’ll chase people but there isn’t proof of it killing and eating people. It just simply scares people.

I've heard Mothman described as more of an omen, usually showing up before disaster strikes. Although there are claimed sightings, there's not really much in terms of it being aggressive towards people.

Oh I love Bigfoot! In the popular video from the (I believe) 1960's, it seems clear that it's probably just someone in an outfit: Doesn't he do a little hand wave at the camera? He even got a movie: Harry and the Hendersons. And I have a t-shirt with a Bigfoot that says "Believe in yourself, even if no one else does."

Where I live there's a rural town called Reilly. All kinds of stories come from there. The cold presence of a hanged girl on a bridge. The light from a boys bicycle that was killed by a train. There are other stories but when I was a teenager driving through seeing traffic signs with a spray paint stenciled word: Moo

As someone originally from Calhoun County, Alabama, the same county as Oxford, Alabama, it’s nice for our stories to receive some recognition. There’s actually several other haunted bridges in the area. There used one in particular where if you flashed your lights on at night a ghost ambulance would appear. When they’re were teenagers, in the 80s, my mom and her friends actually went to the bridge at night and did it. Right as they flashed the lights off for a third time an actual ambulance did appear on the bridge with its lights on. It terrified the crap out of all of them and her friend who was driving out the car in reverse and floored it. I think the ambulance drivers knew the legend and just happened to see some teens doing the ritual and decided to screw with them.

I pass through riverdale road on my way to the gym. I’ve driven it many many times. I’ve driven it sober, high, high as hell, happy, sad. I’ve even parked in different areas, turned off my pickup and sat quietly. I have never seen or heard anything worth writing home about. It is a nice drive though.

Hearing someone say number three's name so many times without audibly flinching is.. kinda chilling to me. Usually with creatures from Native lore, it's not recommended to say their names, at least that is a custom where I'm from. I'm not Native, only having reference to what I've heard floating around from them here. Does anyone else have this same social rule in their area?

Big Foot? When the guy who wore the suit comes right out and says "here's the suit, the boots, the camera and my friend Bob who shot the film" there's no mystery how 60 year old men can still live in mom's basement. Just started the video but I doubt it has the urban legend from here in eastern Maine. Either a newlywed couple or a couple that was headed to prom, can’t remember exactly which but they crashed and the woman died on a stretch of road that goes through some woods. She haunts the road, can be seen hitchhiking or just standing on the side of the road on her wedding gown/or prom gown. She only appears for vehicles driving through that is not occupied by another female. I know I probably have some of the legend wrong though.

Hahahaha I live near Oxford alabama. We consider it a "big" city. 😂😂 I mean, we're not delusional about it. But relative to the surrounding areas, it is. It has the closest mall, closest movie theater, unless you go to Birmingham in the other direction, it's the only place in the areas you'll find an olive garden or outback steakhouse.
