I find this video rather depressing. When I stayed in Samui (around 2015), Lamai, had a private bungalow right on the beach for 800 Baht (around $20)/night. The place was nice enough with a refrigerator, nice bed, hot running shower, and AC. Meals were in the 150 to 200 Baht range. If i wanted to be cheap, a place a block or two away from the beach was 350 baht ....... and then come in the investors, greedy money makers, destroying paradise and raising prices on everything. Soon, it'll be time again to move to another island for an inexpensive and unspoiled paradise.

@@traveltaskforce Be extremely careful at KP. They've got a Full Moon party every month. Here, people will offer weed to people. Many of those who make these "offerings" are, or work for, or get kick backs from the Thai Police. Then, it's blackmail. You bought some. You're guilty. You pay hundreds of thousands of Baht, or things escalate very quickly. ... that said, read that weed may now be legal in LOS. Uncertain if this information is dated. Regardless, I'd be careful. I'll look into KP as a place for digital nomads. When I was there, liked Samui more. Especially Secret Buddah Garden and the different detox places. I hope the one I used (Spa Samui) is still open. Wonderful experience.

@@traveltaskforce If you need a detox, Spa Samui is the place to be, just outside of Lamai. Stay at Lamai Beach for cheaper accommodation rates. Their drinks are the most amazing I've ever had .... in my life!! There was this green drink and another with cyan peppers. I'd give anything to drink those again. The rest of the detox places in Samui are all scams. I spent four weeks at Spa Samui, amazing experience. Can't wait to go back. Hopefully 2023 or early 2024. I hope theyre still open.

Despite the great editing and high quality images, I had to stop watching because the pronunciations of THIGH and VEEYAS drove me crazy. How could you possibly make a video about well know country such as Thailand and not know how to pronounce its name?!🤬🫣
