I read Those Lucky Fellas: Part 1 by A. A. Khan this year and it is fantastic! It's a new upcoming series and the first novel just released a few months ago. I highly recommend checking it out.

We spread is my favorite book of all time. I have a bookish tattoo drawn up with the roots. Also all Iain Reid’s books are amazing

The Great Alone is one of my favorite books of all time. ❤ And yes, I do that for my dog & cats all the time. Also adding the Sarah Pekkanen to my TBR.

Yes, I do that with my dogs too. Our yellow lab for instance has an Eeyore personality and he says, “thanks for noticing me….” A lot. Lol 😆 Compared to the other two very high-energy dogs with higher pitched voices. He just sits and waits patiently to be loved on while the other two are always in your face! Lol 😂

The Great Alone - oh my gosh! This was my best read of the year as well and funny thing is, I read it towards the end of the year. I have read her top-five and all of Kristin Hannah‘s books are must reads. But her top five: The Four Winds, Summer Island, winter garden, and the Nightingale. And of course, the great alone , enjoy!

I loved The Four Winds but DNFed The Nightengale halfway through. I want to read some of her backlist!

I thought the writing style from Iain Reid’s We Spread fit the main characters mindset. As a nurse specializing in geriatric I see a lot of word salad and disconnected thoughts which come with effects and illnesses associated with aging and I thought it all fit so well. As the writing style was different. I also thought this was very accurate to what I see on a daily basis. Even the ending which was so heartbreaking was very accurate to what seems to go through minds. This is a favourite book of mine from 2023 as well.

Freida McFadden is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. I am looking forward to the third part of the Housemaid series. I just finished Never Lie and I really liked that.

I recently read “Foe” by Iain Reid and was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved it. I was expecting it to be my least fave of his but it’s definitely my fave out of his 3 books. So I definitely recommend Foe. 😊

Hello! I enjoyed your top ten. I think you would also like Sarah Pekkanen's The Golden Couple which also takes place in the Washington DC / Maryland corridor. I am from the area and enjoyed the feeling of home. I am also going to look for Only the Beautiful. It sounds very interesting. Thanks so much for sharing! Elizabeth

I really enjoyed The Housemaid and The Housemaid's Secret. Have you read The Housemaid's Secret yet? I can't' wait until The Housemaid is Watching comes out in June 2024.
