I agree completely. I also have a Bosch 800 series with Crystal Dry. It's fantastic. Plus it's quiet and reliable. I will never buy another dishwasher that doesn't completely dry my dishes. Bosch is well worth the money.

I have an older Fisher & Paykel and it is WAY BETTER to use than a normal dishwasher, and I'm confused why there aren't more options like it. It cleans great, dries great, etc. Only had one issue with it, which it started beeping to warn me about and I fixed myself (that's when I learned about the drain screen). And it's quiet enough, especially the top.

This was informative but seriously you’re recommending a $2200 dishwasher is the best of 2023 of course it’s the best, because it costs a ridiculous amount of money. I was a little disappointed more recommendations in a reasonable price range at the end.

No...Just did it by price point. My favorite dishwashers for the money are actually Profile, LG, and Bosch (when available). Miele is excellent, but you can spend way less for a decent dishwasher.

I love the cleaning power of my Miele and love the cutlery tray at the top. I agree though, the middle and bottom racks are not great. Other than standard plates and glasses it’s a game of Tetris loading bowls, pots and pans. They need a serious redesign.

out of curiosity, since Bosch and Thermador go hand in hand now, do you consider their performance to be the same? I always see Bosch mentioned in videos and rarely see Thermador. Not sure if that means there is truly a difference or if Bosch is the more affordable therefore the standard example to the public.

@@enajarro21 That's difficult to discern considering Thermador is a very premium brand and is not mainstream. It would come with typical bells and whistles and should be more than enough for good performance. But not many people are going out to buy that brand, so there is very little incentive for reviews that would cater to a different population.

@YaleAppliance - I thought Bosch has a plant in New Bern, North Carolina that builds units for the US/North American market. As well as a plant in Hungary that does a lot of their production there as well. I automatically assumed the Bosch 800 series (SHPM78Z54N) that we bought was made in Germany. But it looks like it was produced in the New Bern NC plant.

Steve, any chance of doing a DW video with more affordable and economical entry? ie., whirlpool, GE, Samsung, etc. Here in my area its hard to push Samsung because of parts and authorized repair companies. LG is in the same boat, but being more reliable its and easier sale. We have the Bosch and KitchenAid lines, but due to price aren't the most popular choice. I was thinking of doing some videos on cycles, options available, manufacturer technologies. It is hard to find the needed information in one spot.

When your teams install a dishwasher or clothes washer, are they required to run the machine thru a full cycle to verify proper operation? If not, but a customer asks them to do so, are they required to wait? My family just moved into a home in NJ and had appliances installed including dishwasher, by a company we’ve used before and had good experience. The install team started the machine, waited 10 minutes and then asked me to sign, which I did. 20 minutes later, daughter asked me to go into basement to find something. We found something all right- water pouring out under the dishwasher.

For these types of review videos, I understand that not all brands can make it on the list, but Bosch always does but I never see a mention of Bosch's Benchmark models, is there a reason for that? I understand the 800 series has great reviews, but wouldn't the Benchmark models be more direct competition for some of the Miele models?

@BigBear--

@@YaleAppliance1 Reason I even bring it up is because often, manufacturers like LG will change model names/numbers because they changed the look, finish, some small feature set, or internal/external layout, while the underlying technology and build quality remains the same. Which is a great time to shop around for the previous years models that go on clearance as stores try to clear out old inventory for the newer models. We were in the market for a new dishwasher, and found a LG LDP6810BD on clearance for $580. Seems the tech is the same as the newer models, with their Quadwash Technology, Inverter Drive motor, Dynamic Dry with Steam Boost, 3 adjustable racks, Wifi, etc.
