River City Girls 2, Lil Gater Game, Metal: Hellsinger, and The Entropy Centre all really stood out to me Rcg2 perfectly expanded and refined all of the things that made the first game great, while spicing up the beat em up genre by giving semi frequent breaks from the occasionally monotonous punching and kicking (and sometimes wrestling moves!) Lil Gater Game does a phenomenal job of capturing the childlike feeling of making up your own rules for your own imaginary game, if you are willing to play into it, and provides a simple but wonderful story. Hellsinger is the raddest fucking thing I've ever played, enough said. The Entropy Centre is a beautiful love letter to Portal 2, if you enjoyed the story and gameplay of Portal 2, you'll love it. It carries one of my absolute favorite endings I've ever seen in a game, and some very witty writing with plenty of hidden documents if you wish to read more.

If you liked Vampire Survivors, there's a Hololive fangame heavily based on it (and imho it's an even better version of VS) called Holocure that adds stuff like collaborations (combining max level weapons to create even more powerful weapons) and a gacha system for unlocking new characters and costumes (only uses in-game money, no microtransactions, promise!) The game is still adding new updates and best of all, it's completely free, give it a try. Also if you haven't tried them, Pokemon Scarlet/Violet are fantastic entries in the series with tons of amazing music, likeable characters, and one of the best stories in the franchise. Yes, the games are buggy as hell, which kills me since the rest of the game is so good; hoping Nintendo will keep patching the glitches as time goes on.

Sadly the ambitious gameplay revamp of Pocky&RockyREs falls victim of floaty controls, wonky hit detection, the lack of a LOCK BUTTON being a multi-directional shooter and basic features (like 2P Co-op) locked behind completion of a ridiculous, artificially difficult story mode. Much as I appreciated the effort even I understand its shortcomings are widely at fault for people not even wanting to give it a chance (and they're not wrong).

In Tunic the concept of having a fictional language sounds so cool. I'd imagine that it could bring back memories of playing games as a child, when all the games were in English, which I didn't understand, and I tried to figure out what the words meant.

@@dannyhargreaves1326 Most Zeldas, especially the 3D ones where they can hide extra small details, do use Hylian text in places like for signs or labels, which is already cool enough, but it's more impressive because each era of the timeline has it's own form of Hylian writing because language evolves. Wind Waker's Hylian is different from Twilight Princess's, which is different from Link Between Worlds's, so every time a new Zelda comes out or when we get footage showing Hylian text, there's a virgin scramble to see if it's text we can already decipher, which also helps place the game in the timeline, or if it's a new form of the language we haven't seen before that we get to break down and learn all over again

I think the gameplay was phenomenal. But the story was just okay... and there was _waaaaay_ too much of it! Especially the first 3 chapters, where you basically almost don't engage with the gameplay at all. I gave it a lot of slack because it was a Square title. If it was just some indie game, I wouldn't have gotten past chapter 2. But boy am I glad I did, because as an actual strategy game, it's a masterpiece.

Don't worry about doing everything before you face the final boss in Elden Ring, there's only one place that changes dramatically with the ending and should be fully explored before you do the thing with the tree that you'll know when you get to. That area will be listed below past the "read more" in case you don't want to know. Leyndell. Do everything you want to do there, and I really do mean everything, because the thing with the tree irreversibly ruins the area. It was fun seeing a lot of these streamed, they give me the itch to get back into gaming if only I had time and money.

Boy oh boy... The price of a great ProJared video isn't as steep as freedom but both are good

I'm glad to see you put live a live on the list. I've been hearing about it since the 90s,but this is the first I've played it and it's seriously one of the best RPGs I've played. Ps. You should definitely play chained echoes

A turn-based JRPG over Elden Ring? I honestly had no idea Jared was this insanely based.

I've heard Vampire Survivor called 'bullet heaven', since it's a bullet hell where YOU'RE the source of death.

To this day I still rewatch ProJared's Worst/Best Games videos. They are like comfort food. I'm glad they are still going strong.

"I haven't played them and I'm not going to insult you by pretending that I did." This is sadly not common these days. I appreciate it.
