No Evil Wall from Final Fantasy IV?! That was an intense fight the first time through! I'm actually surprised you didn't pick the Kefka fight from Final Fantasy VI. Awesome list man! This was a fun one!

Funny enough, my brother and I didn't have an issue with the Evil Wall fight because we had Rydia who could cast Virus/Bio on the damn thing and Edge throwing whatever he could get his grubby hands on to beat it quick enough. Thanks again, my friend!

Solid list. Always glad to see Mega Man 7 getting some love. But no Giygas? That was one of the best final bosses in any SNES game!

Thanks! Admittedly, I’m not huge into earthbound, so praying my way to a final victory in the last boss never really resonated with me. I am oddly a big fan of mother 1, but yeah, not as huge one of mother 2/earthbound. 😬

You getting to the great M. Bison was one of the most important events of your gaming life. To M. Bison… it was Tuesday.

It's funny to think how the Baby Bowser fight as a kid scared me and that was probably my first time overcoming a fear to beat him lol. Probably would of been around 6 as just him slowly making his way towards you frightened me. Awesome list as love the creativity with these bosses for a 2D console. Especially ones like the Bowser one where you shoot eggs in the background to give a sense of 3D there

Oh dood I could TOTALLY see that being scary as a young kid! I never thought of it that way, but totally is! Thanks so much for watching and the compliments - this is still my favorite console to this day, although the Switch is a *very* close second.

Great trip down nostalgia lane! I hated that bison fight. It took so long before we finally beat him.

Thanks buddy! Yeah, same here! When capturing this footage, I sadly had a hard time getting up to the M.Bison fight itself. From then on, I absolutely could NOT beat M.Bison at all! And I tried, too!!

Personally I thought the Axem Rangers fight was really something special as a kid. Really a lot of fights from Super Mario RPG could've been candidates. The way Belome swallows Mallow, seeing Mack and his minions take over Peach's castle, Dodo snatching you up for a one-on-one. And of course seeing the real Smithy at the end. They're all great.

Yes you’ve got a LOT of great winners there. A previous commenter mentioned my missing the Culex fight, which he’s 100% right - I’d put that within the Top 5, now after being reminded of course.

Shadowrun (SNES) - Drake (or the jester) Megaman X - Sigma final form Final fantasy mystic quest - final boss Street fighter 2 - Sagat Final Fantasy 6 - The ghost train Mortal Kombat - Goro since i don't want to reuse the same games, that is about it from memory.

Some GREAT picks there! From the mildly frustrating (MMX - Final Sigma form) to the amusing (Suplexing the Ghost Train in FF6), I liked your picks a lot!

Such a cool list, and that Baby Bowser boss battle is so iconic. Love the background scenery with the sunrise/sunset, incredibly gorgeous stuff.

Thanks so much! Yeah that fight was just SO awesome. I had no idea such a fight was coming when I played through the game the first time. I definitely was NOT happy when I died the first time and had to fight Baby Bowser again just to get back to the Powered Up Bowser fight!

I've always preferred the FFIV Boss Battle theme, as well as it's remix in SMRPG for Culex.

One of my buddies here reminded me of this fight in the comments section here, and I gotta admit this was a HUGE miss for me! That Culex fighte with the FF4 boss theme is OP!

So the two that I'm surprised didn't make the list are Son of Sun from Chrono Trigger and Giygas from Earthbound. Culex was another one I thought for sure would be mentioned. I'm curious what was on the chopping block.

Son of Sun was more annoying than anything, if I didn’t have the Red Mail or at least ruby Vests equipped. Giygas is just…ehh I’ve admittedly never gotten into the earthbound hype, so praying the last boss away just never appealed to me. Now Culex, THAT is a badass fight, and one admittedly should’ve made this list. Kind of an oops on my end! That fight would’ve made #3. D’oh!
@joshuadillon7134

@infernofoxgaming10 That's fair. The thing with Son of Sun for me, especially if you don't know about the fight and the first time you see it, is it's a unique encounter and is a great predictor for the Lavos fight later where what you think your target is and what it actually needs to be are different. Also, one of the only times Black Hole is useful. The Giygas pray mechanic is a nice touch for me since it's a skill that seems highly useful early on, then falls into "use only if you really need some sort of RNG effect" and of course, if you don't know / don't read a guide, you probably fight him for a good 10, 20 minutes and then luck into figuring it out. They're just very neat mechanic fights that force you to have to think out of the box that sadly are a first-experience only WOW type of thing.

Inorite?! I had NO idea about this until like 3-4 years ago or something. So our Balrog, Vega, and M.Bison in the US are known as M.Bison, Balrog, and Vega in Japan. They swapped the names because M. Bison is so close to M.Tyson, or Mike Tyson, here in the States, and didn't want to get sued. www.thrillingtalesofoldvideogames.com/blog/origins-street-fighter-ii-character-names#:~:text=If%20you%20ask%20a%20nerdier,the%20U.S.%20and%20other%20territories.
