Hey Tyler! Just wanted to thank you for your videos bro! I’m 38 years old and has only been fishing for less than a year. I never had anyone to show or take me fishing, so I’m teaching my self. Your videos have been my number one source of information & references. Thank You. Columbia SC

Hey man! I have always been a lover of fishing but it wasn’t until this past year that I really started to take it seriously and your videos have been a HUGE help in guiding me with tips for on the water and products to buy so thank you so much for the additional guidance… I’ve always used spinning rods but looking to get myself a heavy baitcasting rod and was wondering if you have any recommendations for a setup under $250? I typically buy rod & reel separate so would probably prefer tht but wouldnt mind a prebuilt combo if you got anything in mind you really like!

You guys have it so good down in the southern part of the state. The bass are big and there are plenty. Up in Washington state our bass are stingy as all get out. Tyler, that would be a challenging video idea for you. I know you’ve been around the country but I’m telling you, the bass just dont bite up here like they do down there.

Awesome video, Tyler! You can flex/rotate your wrist, and use your forearm as a brace to one-arm with a traditional net; your net is far superior (love that it's rubberized 💪), but I'll have to break or gift this one before I look into an ergonomic one!

Final update: this little reel is the little engine that could kzitem.infoUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e . It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.
