I used your flax gel recipe and modified it slightly. I had to use a little less flax on my hair, and I added oatmeal gel that I made. I really like the addition of the oatmeal gel. It gave even more slip and more film forming humectants.

Next time I make some I'm going to try with oatmeal. I keep hearing about it.

My TreLuxe gel doesn’t smell too strong but their Curl Cream was like straight up perfume. I had to give it away. I think it’s strange that their leave in conditioner has a totally different fragrance, but that cinnamon scent isn’t a migraine trigger like perfume is, thank goodness 😅

Haha, I haven't tried the Curl cream so I don't know what the scent is. But yeah it is strange that all the products smell don't have the same scent.

I really like what the diy flaxseed does for my hair, but keeping it in the fridge is a big turn off for me. It’s too much of a hassle for my taste to have to store it there. I would like to try a flaxseed gel from one of the companies you mentioned.

Hello, I really like your video! I also had a terrible result with the Bounce Curl creme gel. This is too strong in protein for my hair. What do you think about the Kinky Curly custard gel? It’s a fantastic gel!! 😊 Thanks

So true about the Treluxe..can’t handle the fragrance. Have you tried Terra Veda Organix Curl Slayer? It’s a small company...would love to hear your thoughts on it.

I don't think that polyquats are 'bad' but once I put them in my hair they won't come out, even with clarifying. This is very frustrating for me. I think the part of my hair that is colored, damaged and growing out is where they stick SO BADLY. At this point, I run away from polyquats. Maybe one day when the damaged hair is all grown out I can use them.

Yeah that seems to be the problem for some people. Hopefully it gets better when it grows out.

10 is too many. Would be helpful if actually narrowed down, IMO.
