I think the number one thing with fiddly fig is it's got to have the right amount of light. If you don't have that from the beginning, nothing is going to go right. Also, they don't like to be moved around. Mine has doubled in size in about a year's time and is now about 7 ft tall. The leaves are about a foot and a half long and about a foot wide! I think it's just been in the absolute best place for light and I don't really pay that much attention to it except to water and fertilize it every once in a while.

There have been plants that I have bought repeatedly and killed repeatedly. Some of these I agree with. I’ve had a lemon tree, the thing got spider mites right before it was gonna give me a lemon. The flower dropped off and eventually the leaves all fell. I even started one from seed, that one died. It was before I knew about overwatering😅 Now currently the only trees I’m a beast at are my avocado trees. I’m obsessed with starting them. They were the first plant I grew from seed, when I was in middle school. 🌲🌴🌳

Hi Jaclynn, Great video, I know we all can struggle with certain plants. I have 3 Orchids that U have had for over three years and they all bloom each year and so far I have not had any problems with them, I have tried some ferns and those can be a struggle, I have a bird nest fern and so far it's okay. I think I mentioned I have the Ficus and t's finally coming back. I have 9 African Violets and one is variegated, I bottom water some and the others are potted up. I water them more in the summer than the winter I don't keep them over moist but I also don't let them get too dried out, mine are in a North facing window and they like light but not directly on them, most of mine have purple flowers. I have a string of pearls and so far it's okay and in a East facing window. I struggle with Peperomias and it just is what it is. Most of my Calatheas are okay and some were on the struggle bus and came back and some just died, and that is also something else that happens. I like bromiliads but only as they are blooming, I can't keeps those alive. I also want to try some airplants again after David gave me some tips on how to take care of them. Thanks for a great video with lots of great content, being plant parents we all have different struggles with our plants, and it is always a learning experience. I hope that you have a great rest of your week, stay safe and happy, sending love and many hugs, bye for now. 🤣🥰🤗😹👏🪴🌻

for me most Pepperomias, Begonias and Ferns are the most difficult ones. also some Bonsais and some Ficus plants with tiny leaves. in my experience it's easy to mess things up with Orchids but it's not easy to kill them. they're usually savable(I mean Phalenopsis Orchids) I'm ok with Fiddle leaf fig and Calatheas. African violets used to be difficult for me but I made self watering pots for them and now they're thriving.I was always very good with string of hearts but my String of Pearl was struggling for a long time..it's doing ok since I started to water it more often. I was shocked to see air plants in this list. I have two,I have soaked them just twice in a year.I just occasionaly spray water on them and in my experience they just refuse to die!even in low light and even if I don't mist them for a month

I 100% disagree with orchids being on the list. I have grown them (mostly moth orchids) for 45 years and while their care is different, I find them in the middle on the difficulty scale. I do agree with Maidenhair hair fern, it is my most difficult. I just bought my upteenth one. I will probably never stop trying with this plant! I have other ferns: Crocodile fern, Blue Star fern, Tiger fern, Staghorn ferns, Kangaroo Paw fern (it is huge and I have had it for 4+ years), and Bird's Nest ferns. Some ferns grow great for me, but some others like the Table ferns do not. I have tried some of them, but now it is a hard pass on the String of... for me. I ❤ air plants and have a couple that I have had for years and they are pretty big now. I am trying for the last time, a white Poka Dot plant. It is a baby, but so far it is thriving. I have three Staghorn ferns and all are doing very well, none are mounted. Tried an Olive tree once and promptly killed it. Only calathea I have had good luck with is the Peacock one, haven't killed mine yet and it still looks good. Never had the desire to have a Fiddle Leaf fig and don't do well with ficus.
