Brave Fencer Musashi easily one of my favorite hidden gems. Great soundtrack, nice adventure and overall well kept storyline~ too bad they bumbled up with the next in this short series. I would have loved to seen more of it. Alundra is similar to Zelda but it has its own charm - the battles are friggen tough and I never played this game to the end. The soundtrack is a bit eerie but it adds to the adventure. I actually preferred Alundra 2.

@ErickLandonRPG
6 жыл бұрын
Hello. I've talked about Koudelka a million times before in my videos, which is the first reason why I didn't include it. Then there's the fact that there were already 5 strategy RPGs on the list, so adding Koudelka would have been just too much. Now, about SHO... I've never heard of it, did it come out of Japan?
@ArthurTaytSohn
6 жыл бұрын
Oh, I'll watch Kouldelka videos then =D SHO was only releases in Japan. Actually, it's part of a series called Super Robot Wars and as far as I know, only two games of the series were released out of Japan, and they are Strategy/RPG. The one that I played was very fun, tough I can't read japanese. hahaha

There is a JRPG i remember renting from a movie center and playing for quite a while it must have been real obscure because i can't remember the name and ive looked at list of every JRPG in existence on the PS1 and i still haven't recognized it. I remember it had a lock picking system that was basically Simon says and i think the combat system was standard turn based. The bits of the story i remember had a serious dark tone from the very beginning. If anyone knows what i'm talking about that would be awesome but honestly at this point i wouldn't be surprised if i dreamed the whole thing up.

Poor, poor Ogre Battle. While there are tons of games similar to Tactics Ogre, which I enjoy a lot though not as much as Ogre Battle, pretty much the only games I know of like Ogre Battle are Ogre Battle 64 and Ogre Battle Gaiden, which never came out in the US. I would love a new Ogre Battle game or a spiritual successor. Two of my most disappointing moments when owning a PS2 were realizing that a rumor I had read about a PS2 port o fOgre Battle 64 coming was false and when a rumor I had heard about work on a new Ogre Battle game starting after Final Fantasy XII was complete never came true.

Also, nice to see some Vanguard Bandits love, easily one of the best SRPGs on the system.
