Value depends upon grade (condition), where minted, and rarity. Your '62 quarter is worth about 10x face (unless it is uncirc or better), Susie B is worth face (unless it's uncirc or better), same for the Bi Centennials. The Wheaties: it all depends upon the 3 things I mentioned at the beginning.

it is nice to show those valuable coins. The chances that any of us will get ahold of one is slim to none. I still have a 1776 continental currency coin i'd like to sell. After showing it to the British Antiques roadshow and had established its authenticity, they offered me a mere $3200.00 for the coins numismatics worth of upwards of $200,000.00. I turned down their paltry offer.

That 1794 is NOT WORTH 2 MILLION!!!!! At number 10. You can pick one up for $20,000 in bad condition. There is one that has a silver plug sold for 10 million(most expensive coin every sold). But only special editions such as the one with the silver plug are worth that.

Without more info it's tough to give values, but here's are some _very_ rough retail (selling, not buying) prices for circulated ones: > Kennedy half dollar - 50¢ if dated 1971 or later, maybe 3 bucks for 1965-69, $6-$8 for 1964 > 1910 Lincoln cent - 15¢ to $4 if no mint mark, $9 to $40 with an "S" under the date > Susan B. Anthony dollar - face value only > 1924 buffalo nickel - $1 to $10 with no mint mark, $7 to $150 with a "D" below FIVE CENTS, $15 to $500 with an "S" The doubloon and Canadian coins would need dates, conditions, etc.

Of course none of us will ever likely own any of those expensive coins but I once owned four draped bust silver dollars including a 1797 that was PCGS certified in VF30 condition. All of them were beautiful. I sold them all to help buy my farm and got only $1,460.00 for the 1797 some years ago. I have yet to find another as nice for less than $8,000.00 or so. I got around $3,000.00 for the other three but I may be destined to never have a 1797 dollar again. I have a small collection of old coins but none compare to once owning those 4 draped bust silver dollars! Glad I have the farm now but wish I could have found a way to buy it withouts selling those lovely rare dollars.😞😖😞

@Poisson4147
8 жыл бұрын
The value of a replica depends on what it's made of. Some of them are made of cheap metal with gold or silver plating and are only worth a buck or two. Others may have some precious metal in them so they're at least worth their melt value. In general none are worth anywhere near as much as the originals.

+julia peters That's a cool find! If you look at the back it says ONE DOLLAR; it's an Eisenhower $1 coin minted for the Bicentennial celebration 40 years ago. Unfortunately most of them are made of copper-nickel and aren't worth much more now than they were back then. But if yours has an "S" mint mark on the front but does not have a copper ring around the edge it's made of 40% silver and is worth at least 4 to 6 bucks.

lucky43113 Correct - America was taken off the Gold Standard (every dollar printed was backed by gold - which MUST be sitting in a bank!) and now use the credit standard - by President Nixon on January 1, 1970. This was done because the United States was generating more debt than it could possibly cover in a year - and the spending simply could NOT be stopped!!!!!! So the credit system - allowed the USA to spend forever and NEVER have to pay it back - just pay a little of the interest each year - to keep the bankers very wealthy!!!!!! And so we are still paying them off today - billions every month - FOREVER - and no end in site!!! Well - the bankers like it!!!!!!!
