Legally Blonde is a movie for any occasion, but it is rather good for breakups, considering one is a plot point. Though 'catty' is a bit harsh for Elle. She's never catty. Catty means she's deliberately mean. Elle is never deliberately mean that I remember.

500 days of summer was bestest of all, yeah I was expecting that to be #1
@andrewsmith74
7 жыл бұрын
Why? It's a bizarre, incomplete mess. It shows several random days of the 500, out of order. There's no way that a girl as pretty as Zooey would want someone like JG-L's character. Also, neither character is likeable. I love Zooey, but I hate 500 Days of Summer.
@CyanoAnjum
7 жыл бұрын
Everyone says...everything is Fair in love and war, while the truth is, Everything is UNFAIR in love and war. This was epitomized in the movie. and btw Love doesn't see who's pretty, it just happens, isn't it?
@andrewsmith74
7 жыл бұрын
I agree that the phrase 'all's fair in love and war' is totally wrong. That's obvious, and many other films demonstrate that much better. Looks often play a major role in who we do and don't fall in love with. Someone who looks like Zooey can easily have her pick from a queue of guys a mile long. JG-L's character isn't appealing in any way: he isn't good-looking, well-off, charismatic, funny, influential etc. - there's no way that she'd have looked at him.
@CyanoAnjum
7 жыл бұрын
That's not true. JG-L was good looking (this is actually relative, varies person to person), caring and desperately in love with her, what else does she needed?! He acted like a stupid BC he was in love with someone who doesn't loves him back. anyway I literally liked the JG character rather Zooey, if she was not in love with him, why did she let him enter her world?! even she had no believe in Love (that's rude)
@andrewsmith74
7 жыл бұрын
I've never heard anyone else say that he's good-looking. Being caring doesn't attract hot girls. She uses him and his unrequited love for her. She has power over him, then discards him when she's bored of him. I don't like either character.

Iḿ sorry I have to say: Elle Woods is NOT catty, thatś like her whole character! Sheś the sweetest girl ever, she never lashes out at people unless they're mean to her first. Vivian is catty, but through Elle's friendship she becomes a nicer person and she grows as a person. The romance with Emmett is a nice sweet little side plot, that have nothing to do with her journey as a character, which is why this movie is a feminist masterpiece (for 2004 standards). Wish more movies could be like this, with some LGBT+ representation additions.

How are movies that basically tell you the only way to be happy is to get into a relationship supposed to help you get over a break-up?? Please, the only movie that actually helps is How to be single. The first movie I ever watched were a single woman isn't single because she's broken, or a sad woman who needs a man to be complete again. She overcomes her break-up by learning to be single, not by replacing a man with another. Baaaad list, in my opinion...

yeah, it's a good movie for surviving breakup. Besides, it makes us to know that man always have lots of lies.
