It would be more fun and inclusive if you broke this category down by generation. There are so many fantastic phrases from decades ago, some that have become such a part of our culture that we forgot they came from TV (i.e. "Good grief"), that it would be enjoyable to see them in their own list(s). Give us our Gen X and Boomer content! Honor thy elders. 😂

When I was a teenager up north in the late 70's and early 80's people said "how you doin?" all the time. Long before Friends made it popular. Does anyone else remember that? And when it was super cold outside we would say "the hawk is out" I dont know why either. Lol.

depends on the generation actually...both definitely belong here. I grew up with the 80s & 90s cartoon so I have always liked COWABUNGA ( but I also love the cgi series that gave us Booyakasha....too bad they canceled it for the horrible looking Rise of the TMNT... ) I made a funny :P
