Im honestly surprised Crobat G wasn't on this list. I know it isn't direct damage or even a lot, but it is important in the SP format for ita damage to the bench.

It seems to be mainly because this list is only taking into account Pokemon with attacks that let you deal damage to benched Pokemon, and Crobat G only does so with an ability

One day someone thought "what if we can attack (to some degree) the Pokémon inside the opponent’s Poké balls?" And so they did.

In the manga, there was at least time when someone attacked their opponent's pokeballs to break them enough to stop the Pokemon inside from being used. I think it might have happened multiple times, but it definitely happened at least once. It's not quite the same thing, but it's pretty similar.

It was very viable, important card in several decks 2017/18

I know it's too new, but I would have loved to see you talk about Dragapult EX. For a psychic and fire energy, it can deal 200 damage to the active and spread 6 damage counters across your opponent's bench. Also helping is its pre-evolution has an ability to grab one of the two cards from the top of your deck and the Lance supporter card grabbing 3 dragons for free making consistency a non-issue. The Dragapult EX deck I use is a slow burner, but once it gets set up it's hard to stop

Wow, no Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX? That card was successful for almost 3 years in 3 very different formats. It was the sole reason every deck needed to have Mew or later Manaphy in play.

Im trying to make a "darkrai bench damage deck" and came to this video to see if there was another option for the deck. I'm glad to see i made the right pick.

Forgot to mention that Blizzard Burn can also be used fairly easily to take OHKOs on EX Pokemon using 2 in combination of silver bangle, laser/virbank, or 3 Deoxys EX. The prize trade off is another reason what made Kyurem so good.

Damn, i still remembered using Giratina & Garchomp Tag Team GX, the 40 damage bench attack was a really nifty finisher, and all for 1 colorless energy too. Even though its not the main strategy, since its more of the win more finisher, its still a pretty strong one, and brings back memories. There are of course better options tho, so im just in nostalgia.

I feel like wellspring ogerpon ex should be on here. Getting to do 100 damage to the active and 120 to a benched if you shuffle 3 energy attached to wellspring into the deck is really good

Probably too new to have proven its own results. But it's Water-type, so it gets to benefit from silly Baxcalibur, Cheems-Pao, Radiant Greninja, Palkia VStar and all those good things. Plus, like someone else mentioned, Dragapult ex came out in the same expansion, and so did Greninja Tera ex who is similarly pretty threatening. Y'all better start packing those Manaphy

Bit surprising that the Black Star Promo Tapu Koko from Sun and Moon didn't make it. For 2 colorless energy, or just 1 Double Colorless Energy attachment, the Flying Flip attack it had dealt 20 damage to both your opponents active Pokemon and all their benched Pokemon. It also had a free retreat cost as well, so it could be thrown into most decks back during the Sun and Moon era and do reliable chip damage to everything with it's Flying Flip as well as help pivot your mons around due to the free retreat.

it's not too competitive due to the awkward differing energy types and the fact pokemon v was the big decks in the format in 2021 but amazing rare kyogre when powered up can hit all your opponents pokemon for 80 damage which is overpowered when you think about the evolving basics and the stage 1's and even most stage 2's in the game being one to two hit ko 'ed by it's attack
