I learned a lot here, i.e. the wool (which would have appeared to me like mealybug), caterpillar/little hairlike growth on my young R. Sulcata. I was after my favorite Paradoxa and ordered 6 variety pack/cuttings on Etsy. Wasn't sure if they would take, but they all have (and she even threw in a Hoya Princess Carnosa). My other favorites are the R.Cappilliformis and the Ramulosa (now has bead-like seed sacks with hints of red all over.

Just a thought on a video idea. How about a video on top 10 epiphytic cacti grown for their interesting / attractive foliage/ clades/ growth habit? For those of us that love the plants but perhaps have difficulty / impatience waiting for their blooms (aka me 😆)

@@EpiphyticCacti thank you. I'd rather not know. As you already know I have a Fernleaf zigzag and a Curly Sue. Also I have lots of Random rhipsalis! I really appreciate all your information!

Rhipsalis are pretty easy from cutting just stick the cuttings into an epiphytic type substrate in A SMALL-ISH pot, water sparingly at first, and then as normal once rooted. It typically takes 2-4 weeks for them to form small roots. If weather permits I find if I put the pot outside in a nice shaded area they take care of themselves. Just make sure to check on and shower them maybe once a week if you are experiencing dry or very hot conditions. Rule of thumb in general is less water the cooler the temperatures because it doesn’t evaporate as quickly.
