I got Hotel California for an xmas present and listened to it alot. But, as a teen in the mid 70s nothing was better then Led Zep Stairway was the the songtrack of my high school years. And I have always loved it since. Not just for nostalgia. But it was a song that evoked the old english myths and legends and the magical dust of england. It took me to a land that was no longer part of the here and now but, most of LZ music did that. It transported you to other worlds and magic. And I listened in my room most nights on my headphones while being amazed. Today I am watching on KZitem the band performing and seeing them live. In my teens they were simply a love of the music. Some vague images on the albums and that was it. Today I can watch performances and fall in love with the music again as if I ever fell out of love. But, I can appreciate it even more.

Not sure if It would fit perfectly in here but I'd put Time or Us and Them in here. It's not that it's their trademark song, but they both got everything that Pink Floyd did best. And also, theses song/album were a trademark on their it's own for the whole album. They were also the ultimate songs if you wanted to test a sound systems in the shop and still does as his production level was so high.

I think I Wanna Be Sedated is even more identified with The Ramones over Blitzkrieg Bop. I was thinking, is it better to have one of these calling card songs, or is it better to have a number of them? Some bands have a big number of songs that, if you asked 💯 people, you'd get upwards of half a dozen answers. Example: David Lee Roth Solo, Yankee Rose, his California Girls, Just Like Paradise. With Van Halen: Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love, Unchained, Jump, Panama.
