@@suzannerust8658 I know someone who had a miscarriage 10 weeks after conception and she asked at the hospital that they cast her baby's feet. They didn't tell her "oh I'm sorry it's a blob of cells", they cast its feet and she turned it into pins to promote infant loss. Types of abortions can tell you it was a human being. One abortion they rip the baby out in pieces, another abortion they put the mother in labor take the baby and suffocate it. Another abortion they clip the back of its neck. It's not "your body" if you get to stroll out of those clinics and resume your life while what they took from you gets tossed in trash. I've known people that was for abortion until they witnessed one and realized it was a actual baby and never supported it again

Phil Hartman’s tragic murder altered three different shows. News Radio (his main series), Third Rock From the Sun (a series he was a guest star on and one that had a whole storyline planned out for him), and The Simpsons (where he voiced several side characters). News Radio never recovered. They brought in Hartman’s fellow SNL alumnus Jon Lovitz as a whole new character but the dynamics weren’t there anymore.

Admittedly... it would be difficult to narrow down these moments to just one, in Moesha. It was a rather layered show. Be it when Dee actually came through for her against Frank about the birth control and thus finally starting to build something between them, the moment you mentioned... or when having such pent up feelings about qhat a POS her dad was after that, she found out that her mother who she idolized, was just as bad as him and he took all of her admonishments without saying anything about how her mom just ditched them.

For me, when Jason said he was I not a monk, I thought, "Wait..... how did they mess up more than one?..... Something's not right." Then, when Trevor called out the "real Elenor" aka Vicky off the train, I thought, "Wait a minute, why would they call her out so late, just as everything was about to go smooth for a while?! As I thought about all the other random things going wrong at werid times, I realized, they must be in the actual bad place getting annoyingly tortured!" Also, I don’t agree with the one about “Mom” I don’t think a character that was on 4 episodes overdosing, changed the course of the show. I think it was a serious episode. One that was very real, that the show probably needed to have since one of it’s main themes is substance abuse and these people dealing with both it’s trials and aftermath being in AA together. It is an inevitable truth that most people in any kind of recovery lose at least one person they know to an overdose!

What about Frank being revealed as Dorian's father on Moesha. That was so huge. That shook a lot of ppl including the cast. . Moesha was never the same after that reveal. Everyone looked at Frank differently after that. Frank who was once a well-respected TV dad was now tainted because he had an outside child. Moesha went downhill after that. The entire mood of the show changed. Frank being made Dorian's father led to the exit of Sheryl Lee Ralph. She didn't want to be on the show anymore. She felt the show was ruined now along with Frank's character. They wrote off Sheryl Lee Ralph's character by saying that she took up a prinicpal position in Jamaica. It was really sad Moesha didn't last long after that by 2000, Moesha was done. Also Paul Hennessy's death on 8 Simple Rules should be on this list. I'm surprised it wasn't included, being that the desth was real. Not only did Paul Hennessy die but also the actor who played him John Ritter died. John Ritter's death was so shocking and unexpected, the producers had no idea what to do. They eventually decided that the character wouldn't be recasted or simply talked about offscreen. So they decided to incorporate John Ritter's death into the show. 8 Simple Rules wasn't the same after that. Yes they added the mom's nephew and the kids' grandfather but they weren't enough to keep the show going. Also it was very difficult for the cast to go on without John because all of them were so close. The show lost its sparkle. You could tell the cast members were no longer interested in the show. They were just going through the motions. They were no longer in it which is sad because 8 Simple Rules was a great show.

Agree on Moesha. It ruined such a defining show and what was a groundbreaking sitcom for it's time. If even Brandy hated the idea you know you screwed up.

@@frankieseward8667 It never should've happened. It wasn't just Brnady to hated the idea, the entire cast did. They tried desperately to stop that entire storyline from happening but the writers and the producers wouldn't listen. Sheryl Lee Ralph told them that if they did this storyline she would walk and that's exactly what she did. She wanted nothing to do with this show after that. She was 100% done. Also if you want someone to blame for this, then blame Brandy and Ray J's mother, Sonja Norwood. She was the one who orchestrated this whole thing. She wanted Ray J on the show since she was both their managers at the time. This is her fault. She did this.

@@RealTalk1411 yeah this is why most parents should have a more advisory role than full on manager/agent. Sonja really did hurt their careers. Moesha needed 1 more season to be finished and sadly Dorian single handedly ruined that

@@frankieseward8667 Sonja wanting Ray J on the show ruined one of the best sitcoms of all time. Not to mention the way Moesha ended was horrible. Moesha deserved a much better ending. We never found out who was pregnant. We never found out if Myles was ever found. It was dumb.

It was not his helicopter it was the plane he was going back to the states on. Radar takes the call reads the message in the O.R. and says the plane was hit by a missile in the tail which caused the plane to go into a spin and cash in the Sea of Japan and there was no survivors.

I don’t remember exactly which episode, but “Frasier” had an episode where Nile’s and Daphne ran away together just as she was about to marry someone else. The change in the show was more subtle than some of these examples, but it was an end to his thinly veiled admiration of her without her noticing(even though everyone else could see it plainly). After that, it became more about how they build a normal relationship.

When Family Matters first aired I liked it alot, then they made Urkiel a reg cast member and I didn't like as much. His voice and cothing just irritated me no end. Then they made him the focus of the show so I stopped watching.

A show changer for me was Jean Stapleton leaving All in the Family. After Gloria and Mike move to California, (which for some was a show changer), Edith's niece Stephanie comes to live with the Bunkers. I'm not sure exactly when Jean Stapleton left but the next episode I caught was Archie 'talking' to Edith asking her why she had to die, getting angry at her for leaving him, etc. It was really emotional but the part that had me in tears was Stephanie standing at the door watching him and seeing him cry and it ends with the 2 of them holding each other. After that All in the Family became Archie's Place!

you’re misremembering things: the original show ended and sort of continued on as Archie Bunker’s Place with him taking in a college girl boarder and the bar a jewish partner…Edith wasn’t a main character on the new show, she was recurring

Couldn't stand Steve Urkel and wouldn't watch the show because of him. The horribly obnoxious J.J. on Good Times was the same. John Amos was openly critical of the character and that's why he was written out. "The writers would prefer to put a chicken hat on J.J. and have him prance around saying "DY-NO-MITE", and that way they could waste a few minutes and not have to write meaningful dialogue." He was right.

The dukes of hazard After the coy and Vance season and Bo and Luke came back the show was never the same. Silly, stupid storylines like aliens coming to hazard. Using miniatures instead of actually cars for stunts. The show never recovered.

I think that the real moment which changed the course of 'Friends' was Monica & Chandler sleeping together in London. They became a couple after that and the dynamics of the group were changed forever.
